Thanks teajay. I don’t listen that loud these days, probably 65-75 dbs. I was looking at getting the Dali Epikore 11s, but I am definitely going to look into the Arno 40s. I think that one would be an easier sell on the wifey. :-)
Rosso Fiorentino Arno 40 speakers Great speakers/Beautiful music
Stereo Times posted yesterday my review on the Rosso Fiorentino Arno 40 speakers. I put the 40s, RF's new model, on my most WANTED COMPONENTS for 2024 because they are one of the most exquisite musical speakers I have ever experienced. For all the details take a look at the review. If you own a Rosso Fiorentino speaker share what your experiences have been.

I have received numerous inquires regarding information on the Arno 40s proprietary layered cabinet design. I know that aluminum, wood, some type of polymer, and soft material gaskets are used in the construction, which leads to a total non-resonating baffle without the sense of "deadness" that all metal or stone baffles can produce. Because of this the speaker's sense of aliveness, transient speed, and total clarity shines through when delivering the music. If you have more technical questions I would recommend you contact the US importer. I know what I hear, but the specific explanation of the layered design is limited to what I have shared above. |
@dayglow I've owned the Certaldos 1 for several years, and I've had the pleasure of hearing both Certaldos 2 and Arno 40. Each is a significant step up, particularly in top end refinement. Arno also brings more bass slam compared to Certaldos without giving up in texture and low end detail. I felt the Arno is a slight departure from the house Rosso sound, but it's also very possible the pair I heard was not broken in yet. If they are in your budget, I would strongly encourage you to demo them with Audio Thesis. Either at Axpona or at AT in DFW. Well worth the trip down here for a purchase of that size, and you will get a much better demo experience. |
@displayname Thx for the interest and info. Speaking of Italian made loudspeakers Chario also has several models that appear to check many boxes. |
