Remastered Supertramp? Crime of the Century?

I've seen remastered versions of all the Supertramp CD's. Does anyone know if they sound better than the orginal versions?
Or is this another ploy for consumers to buy a product again and sound worse like many of the new remastered products?

I have the remaster of Crime of the Century and it has pretty good sonics. My guess is that it is better than the original CD release based on the date of the original CD release. A lot of early CD releases were horrible.

Sorry, but I don't have an original for comparison......

Enjoy,

It is better than the original CD mastering. Due to better digital chips, processing and electronics the new one is more refined with better dynamics and overall cleaner less "digital" sound.

My listening impression is that the re mastered version is significantly better than the original, and I have both. I also have the MoFi LP, but that is not as good.( not as dynamic) The original LP is close, and the Japanese LP is even better than that. Over all for digital, the remaster is well done and very worth it..-Ken
I just bought Crisis? What Crisis? and the new version is significantly better than the orginal CD I owned. So I plan to upgrade all of my CDs at the local CD Trader!
I have been comparing the original cd  to the mfsl cd and it is difficult because the original cd is mixed louder.
I own the Speakers Corner version. Unfortunately, my copy has a lot of ticks & pops. It sounds good, but I'm not enamored by way of the glowing reviews by others for the original MOFI.
A&M put out a 1/2 speed Audiophile  vinyl version of Crisis? What Crisis? back in the day. I have one but have never opened it since I was gifted an original pressing mint promo copy which is what I listen to. I see them on eBay every once in a while.
