Well, I could make a similar argument for the Rythmik F12SE Signature vs. the REL. Like the REL it offers high-level inputs but goes to 14Hz (-2dB) vs. 20Hz (-6dB), uses a 12ā woofer vs. 10ā, offers continuously variable phase adjustment vs. a 0/180 degree switch, and is sealed vs. needing a passive radiator. The one area where it falls short is it has a 375W class A/B amp vs. 500W amp in the REL, but Iāve never heard of a Rythmik sub being underpowered. Last, itās about $1300 less than the REL ā the beauty of selling direct. No brainer to me, so the question is do you hate money? š |
@soix Not quite apples to apples. The Rel aesthetic and paper cone (vs aluminum) are attractive to me as well as the compact size and speed vs a 12. I got mine new for $2k, so the difference is about $700 vs an order of magnitude difference of $7000 for the Loke. Also, my Rel is used exclusively for music. You can always go cheaper, but the white Rel looks amazing next to my black Sabrinas (which I got refurbed and polished for pretty cheap) š„³ So yeah, I donāt hate money š |
