If you contact Basis, I have no doubt that Jolanta Conti will get back to you quickly with an answer. Their customer service is excellent. 

The belt was the focus of considerable attention by Conti. The microanalysis of a belt contributes a lot to the speed stability of a belt drive. Rega have done major research on the same part of the turntable for their highest model the Naia. Just saying this for consideration not persuasion.
