PS PowerPlant power cables

I have a PS Audio PowerPlant powering my entire system.

Do you think upgrading the power cables from the PowerPlant to the components will improve the sound over stock?

If so what would you recommend to Mc monoblocks, pre, and DAC?

Also, I assume there is no value in upgrading the power cable to the PoetPlant because it is a regenerator.

I use a WyWires Juice II Platinum HC (high current version) and I find it does make a difference on my P10. Is it night and day difference? No, but it is noticeable and every little bit here and there adds up. Probably going to depend a lot on how resolving your system and room is. I have tossed my Nordost Valhalla 2 on as well and even better but I prefer that PC elsewhere in my system. Quick answer is it does make a difference but not as big as adding the Power Plant initially if that helps.

Thanks! The PowerPlant certainly made a huge improvement—I might try some different PC on a 30 day trial.

What does PS Audio say about changing the pc?

Oh and what power plant did you get?

Never have an electron bottleneck between the utility and your amp.  I use a 10 awg power cable to supply my PP10.  I use a 10 awg  power cord between the pp 10 and my amp.  Saying "because it is a regenerator" doesn't hold water.  It needs power in to make power out.

The other components have much lower current needs and power cords are not so important.

I don’t own a power regenerator but on every single power conditioner I ever had a better power cord always improved the overall performance of the system.
In my opinion your best power cord should be the one feeding your power conditioner or power regenerator. And if your amp is connected directly to the wall outlet, that power cord should also be top notch.

Great input, thanks! I got the PowerPlant 12–pretty amazing but I don’t love the fans.

PS just suggested to me that AC cord to PP was most important, so that follows many of your input.

I just swapped a Sunyata Venom cord from my pre to the AC line and the system sound amazing.

For my amp what PC would you recommend in the $100-300 range? I was contemplating trying some Pangea cords on a 30 day trial.

I like the PP10 better.  Totally quiet.  80 lbs of metal.  zero output impedence.  No idea how they did that.  Even Paul M admitted the PP10 might be better than the PP12 for power amps.  Quite available used.

For a cord, I recommend a generic 10 awg cord.

Find a used Shunyata Taipan Alpha Helix or Python. Also a used TWL Seven Plus is a good choice. I had all these on my amps over time.

From new power cords in this price range Zavfino comes to mind. Although I never tried them they get rave reviews on these pages. I do have their interconnects and they’re a pretty solid deal for the money.
