No mention of LRS / LRS+ on Magnepan website???

I read this some time ago, but it doesn’t explain why the new model is not listed on their site.

Also, the Magnepan website does not seem to work properly (for me anyway).

MP has been suspected of selling product at what must be near cost.

At least on the LRS. I imagine Wendel got wind of it and said "Enough"!

jeffseight- I might concur, except

1-magnepan has a history of entry level speakers mmg, smg, etc. 

2- why introduce the + version at Axpona?

3- if margins so tight, then why not just raise prices? There is/was a long (many months) waiting period on LRS orders. Seems like a simple business solution

I've been wondering if they are anywhere close to .8s....1.8, 3.8 etc...

You've probably seen this new review....the word is that they have 6 months+ of orders already on hand and that they are having to adjust their manufacturing to handle the volume....don't forget they have dealer orders coming in for their other speakers on a daily/weekly basis.

If this is true, it suggests that they may have pulled the LRS off the website until they are back into a position to take orders and give people a reasonable promise on lead time.

Magnepan called me last month to update my waiting list order for the LRS+, asking if I wanted the new stands, and to pick a color, as gray will no longer be offered...they told me they needed to fulfill all backorders for the LRS before they could start producing the LRS+...those on the 6 month LRS waiting list were given the option of still getting their LRS, or being at the head of the line for the 33% more expensive LRS+...

my LRS+ arrived today...spoke to Magnepan this morning, and the upgrade stands are not finalized, and will not be available for some months...

Magnepan told me they are currently producing orders received in May… and they have delayed production of the optional stands for about 3-4 months.

And yet the website still has no mention of them and no way to order then.  Sounds like they have a five month backlog.
 

As for stands, it is well worth the couple hundred bucks to buy one of the aftermarket stands. I have the Magna Risers.

their website has a very interesting YouTube video showing how the LRS is produced. About 14 minutes long and worth watching. Don’t have the link here, but easily found on the Magnepan website.

I suspect that until they put a dent in the backlog, they won’t show up on their website.
