NJ Audio Society?

I have written to the email addresses published each issue in Stereophile magazine, yet receive no response. Can someone tell me what's up with this organization?

Thanks,

I went to a NJAS meeting once quite a few years ago. My kids were quite young and my wife was working weekends at the time, so my free time was pretty much non-existent, and I wasn't able to get to another meeting back then. The kids are older now, and my wife is no-longer working, so I've got more time available and would enjoy meeting and talking with others who have an interest in audio.

I'm just a mile and a half from GSP Exit 165
Listens2tubes--I e-mailed you directly. We have a meeting at my house tomorrow. Give me a call if interested in coming.
Geoff: You're a ways out west from many of our meetings, but we have had recent meetings in Branchburg and Warren, so you might find some of the meetings interesting and accessible. As far as what goes on, we try to vary it--some demonstrations by equipment manufacturers (this month is a Cary Audio presentation with Dennis Had, last month a Linn presentation), some instructional meetings with members talking about or demonstrating tweaks, room acoustics, speaker design, etc., some musical programs, a trip to a recording studio, or just plain hanging out and listening to music. Sort of a nice way to spend a day with people who don't think you're completely nuts when you talk about wires making a difference!
I'm in Hillsborough - near Duddley and Rdean. Please let me know if anyone wants to make a Somerset/Hunderton/Mercer/Middlesex/... club.
I am always up for some critical listening and tinkering of sorts. If joe is in I guess sure why not, I'll go, do, be, exist and join in the doings.

Hi Duddley-
What part are you in? We have just started (albeit informally) something down here in Southern NJ. We got 4 people together at my place on 2/1.

Audioman4: check your email.

Rushton (Phila. Audio group): If you read this, I see you recently hosted one at your place. Maybe at some point, if there is interest, we could get both groups together for a gathering or two....
Contact Rcprince, Audiogon member and acting NJAS president.

Another A-goner, Slipknot1 is trying to form a club in South Jersey. And I believe there is a Philadelphia Audio Society for those in that area...
Duddley: E-mail me with your information and I'll send you the scoop. Don't know why you haven't been getting through, unless S-phile has my address wrong. Our next meeting is this Sunday in the Mattawan area, Audes is showing its stuff.

Audioman4, while NJAS has meetings in central Jersey as far down as Bordentown and Brick on a lot of occasions, you should get in touch with member Slipknot on this site, he's in your area (Moorestown) and has started an informal listening group. Check the thread South Jersey Audio Club.
