Do the headphones need to be plugged in when you turn it on can that cause a fuse to blow?

Highly doubt it as that’d be a serious design flaw.  Hope it’s just the fuse!

Thanks for your help guys appreciate it I ordered some off of Amazon 1 amp fuse.  Yes there's a little sliding door that pops out in the back that holds the fuse and the spare fuse there was no spare in there so I had to get some from the Amazon.

I bought this off of a guy Facebook Marketplace that lived around the corner from me I gave him a hundred bucks for it as I was arriving at his house he plugged it in to make sure everything was good and he says the fuse popped.  From what I've read it could be a tube issue could be a short inside somewhere.  Do the headphones need to be plugged in when you turn it on can that cause a fuse to blow?

Look at the watts on the name plate.  Divide watts by 120 to get amps.  It will likely on a headphone amp be less then 1 amp.  Multiply by 2 or 3 and that will be a good size fuse.  I'd use 3, many would use 2.

Also I believe the fuse is possibly in a small pull out drawer where the power cord plugs in…

1 amp fast blow.

F = FAST ACTING

1a or 1A = AMP RATING

l or L = Low Breaking Capacity
