My umbilical cable between my preamp and its power supply.

@fthompson251 as you likely know, break in is quite real, and ime, substantial. It will continue to improve. I have almost 300 hrs of break in on my RAL umbilical, and the sq characteristics I find so important with my enjoyment of music listening, has come full circle. To say it again, this one component change has made a huge and significant upgrade, in that I have a new preamp, and a new system. IMO, Brad of RAL is Da' Man. Enjoy! MrD.

With very little time on my RAL cable what hit me right away was a smooth richness in the midrange timbre, less digital edginess (for lack of a better description) This is inherent with solid care silver, I like it so far. It only had 6 hours on it though so we have a long way to go. 

Great cables but pretty much hit or miss working with Brad. My first cable purchase   went great with no issues and it shipped fast. My second cable I bought a used USB cable that wouldn’t work with my streamer but worked with a laptop?  Sent it to Brad in October and he promised to replace it.  Poor communication…seldom responds to email/voice mail.  When he does respond he says the cable is on his workbench and will ship out by the end of the week.  Still no cable after several promises in 6 months.  It is so bad I just have to shake my head and laugh it off.  Just maybe some day it will arrive and actually work🤞.

I just installed a RAL Cryosilver umbilical today between my Pass Labs XP20 and power supply. I purchased this cable used. I noticed immediate improvements in 3D soundstaging and increased separation of images. I had the same experience with using a RAL Cryosilver  umbilical on a Supratek Cabernet preamp. I purchased that one new and I had immediate positive results. 

I got the cable today, it is more substantial that I expected. I will get it introduced to the system tomorrow, today I am introducing the SNAKE RIVER AUDIO Signature PC to my amp. One thing at a time. 

@fthompson251 , it will make a difference immediately, but does require break in. Brad states it could take 250-300 hrs. for full break in. As of this writing, I have 200 hrs. on mine, and I would say it is pretty much fully broken in. Incredible upgrade for me. My best, MrD.

Cool, I have one for my Legacy Audio Wavelet II / HDplex LPS  connection that was supposed to come USPS today but it must be coming tomorrow. It's the Passage CryoSilver™ Reference umbilical power cable. Can't wait to get in and get it cooking.
