Mono block amplifiers from VAC and McIntosh. Speaker ideas?

About a year or so ago I inherited 4 Mono block amplifiers. They are from VAC and mcintosh. What speakers would go best with both 300 W tube VAC and 600 w  solid state mcintosh. I’ve been using Macintosh and finally got around to fixing all the VAC tubes so now I have a choice of amplifiers.

Nice amps! With the exception that it usually means the loss of a family member, that’s a great inheritance. 😎

I’d at least be pondering speakers that allow the option of some hybrid bi-amping with tubes on the lower mids and up if possible, and SS on the woofers. Even with good passive crossovers it can still highlight the strengths of both classes of amps. Sorry I don’t have any particular models that are available in mind.

Sorry for your loss.

But that is an incredible gain. Those are two very different amps. I have to agree with @knotscott… you have a chance to biamp… something most of us could never do.

First question, are you willing to commit the funds to buy appropriate speakers to one or both of these pair of amps? My rule of thumb is 30% speakers, 15% for each amp , preamp DAC and streamer.

I know Vandersteen's work well with Mac's. I have no experience with VAT, but think it would be good, as well.
