UPDATE: My ultimate Cable connections of all my grids This morning i just connected the most costly and refine Schumann Generator i own among the ten already connected ,one with another around the room; i connected this more powerful one which is over my computer screen, between my speakers, to the "Bell of bells" dangling from my ceiling... This is the third connection from the "Bell of bells" with a third Schumann generator in the grid that link all of them...
Staggering increase all across imaging, and the other factors of sound quality...
My dear friends, the only way to modify the properties of a bad room, is not mainly the passive acoustical treatment, but really and mostly the active acoustical controls by way of active connected device like an array of Schumann generators...
The audible effect is at the end a COMPLETE deconnection of the sound from the location of the speakers themselves and from the negative limitations of the room...
Astounding and what is the cost: PEANUTS...
Be creative and dont read those who want to sell you something....
Before buying something, embed everything rightfully....

All my 10 Schuman generators are modified with cables that connect them all and with crystals and "golden plate"... They are cheap cost, 10 bucks from Hong-Kong, except one at 50 bucks.... It is not a good idea to buy only one at very high cost.... Because an array of 10 cheap one around the room and connected is more flexible device and more powerful than only very pricier one....Their power supplies or USB connectors are also treated with "golden plates" or crystals to lower the noise floor...

When i connected the thin phone cable between the "Bell of bells" and the Schumann generator it gives better results sometimes if the cable touch directly the S.G. instead of a stone or an herkimer diamond on the S.G....On some my cable touch the stone....
You must experiment not only with materials but with your ears...
Sometimes the audible changes are subtle , but when you love it very much, you speak with adjectives like awsome, marvellous, etc The essential is that with this one hundred subtle changes i lived through i own now a top audio system, not the best there is by all counts no, but people would think that for the money(500 bucks for the 3 main component) my system is one of the best there is... And i think so....
It is the reason WHY i am the only voice on all audio forums i ever read to say that audiophile experience MAY cost peanuts, if you dare to try being creative with your listenings experience.... If i could, anyone can....
I give to you all the concepts: the three embeddings...(mechanical,electrical active and passive acoustical controls) Any electronic component is "generically" created design,but to gives his utmost , it must be "specifically" embed....
I give to you some ideas in my thread to replicate with your own improvisation on the basis of your own audio systen, your own house and room and ears...And with more money invested if you want and better results than mine....
I give to you the confidence that it is possible because i made it...
I am proud of myself....

I use self adhesive copper tape on the shungite.... The copper tape is always at the external side of the shungite, namely the shungite face always touch any location where i put it all along the electrical grid.... For pyramid, but it is not practical and i dont use them much, i cover with copper tape all faces of the pyramid except the base; then it is the basis of the pyramid that is in contact to the gear or objets where i put it.... I just made a fourth connectionwith thin phone cable to another set of Schumann Generators from the dangling "Bell of bells" in the center of my room...
Almost all my S.G. are connected by thin phone cables now to the twin fans and to some cones grid and to some grid of stones....
Except for a very costly designed acoustical room, the way to go for all of us is with passive treatment of the room... But this passive treatment CANNOT replace the active controls i created with the grid of modified and cabled Schumann generators and my other grids and cones resonators....
Each room with difficult dimensions and some other particularities will present many obstacles, then passive treatment only will be unsufficient and ven with many resonators ( my singing resonators and the Helmholtz one)....We must try with many more active resonators and active Schumann generators all connected....
Results were better with each connections...And 4 small audible increase in S.Q. at the end create an astounding effect....
Takes with a grain of salt my qualifying adjectives all along the way, but not my final results.... There is NO relation between the S.Q. of these same electronic components i own all along these series of experiments from the beginning to the end results....No comparison.... My self confidence comes from that, and i can say most people dont know the real S. Q. potential of their own audio system by too much lack of controls in their three embeddings....
My sound heaven is in 2 form: nearfield 3 feet and at 8 feet from the speakers, with an astounding holographic imaging decoupled from the speakers....No degradation of timbre or dynamics, except if i connect it in a wrong manner .... We cannot make it without listening experiments, because each audio room is different, but my devices will work in any irregular small room...

I just add a fifth thin phone copper cable to the dangling "Bell of bells" from my ceiling, parallel to the other last cable i have add, to another Schuman generator beside another one already connected today to the same Bell....
Audible effect immediately evident, a decoupling of the speakers TOTALLY from the sound image.... Before that i was speaking of an holographic image detached from the speakers, but this times it was a very complete detachment indeed...
The reader must understand that BEFORE the change, nobody can consider and envision the depth of the changes... This explain why i repeat all along my posts the same increasing changes with the same words.... all my device controls and experiments add something new one step at a time..... At the end the sound has no more relation with the few months before.... I even said to my wife 3 months ago, " i think i am done with my inventions and i cannot increase the S.Q. no more"....She does not believe me even if i believe it myself when i said it....
You are like me with your audio system unconscious of what it can really gives at his optimal working level when the 3 embeddings are relatively on controls, especially the acoustic active controls of the room, key to the speakers revelation and not only the passive one....

UPDATE Twin Fans sound combing room enhancers
Errors or mistakes are sometimes good for creativity, and anyway go with it...
I ordered on amazon by mistake 30 "mei neng fish tackles".... They are not bell shape cones... )
But they are long cones like tube , and i used them in my fans, around the connected bell shape connected cones grid in the center, without connecting them and without Herkimer diamonds in them....They work like a tube and i dont want to block the little hole in their center....
And guess what:
Increase on all S.Q. count , but especially a bigger soundstage in my 2 listenings position without any loss on timbre, imaging or dynamic, in fact an improvement on all....
This times if i think about my past experiments for the last 2 years, i must change the % of S.Q. attributed to the 3 embeddings....
The acoustical active devices worked so powerfully that they are the main S.Q. improvement at the end in % term....
I dont suffer now from my room accidental limitations...
Really there is no speakers that are good in a bad room... Except perhaps 10,000 dollars one can give this illusion and are the reason why people buy that and put them in a room without any acoustical passive controls or on few, and no active controls at all...But trust me good speakers in a treated room sound on par with costly one....
I dont know but in a word i cannot imagine a much, much better sound that what i own now.... Understand me, there is plenty of audio system better than mine, but for the price, trust me, anybody will want and will choose mine....Ratio price/quality is the balance and when you listen to music you forget the minors improvements that will come only with a big amount of money invested ....
I’m proud to have freed myself from the prison of my audiophile desires and obsession and gives to me the gift of the music i dreamed about for myself years ago....
Dont buy anything if not necessary, think, and embed everything, especially the speakers....

I only hope that reading about some of my experiments some newcomers will go with the road of listenings/creative experiments instead of throwing their money with too much hope in "generic" electronic new components, and no knowledge at all about the "specifics" of the 3 embeddings necessities.... My last and one of the more powerful creation to change the negative acoustical obstruction of a bad room’s topology....
" The Golden Strings"
I put 2 ribbon of copper self adhesive tape (13 inches long) with 40 micro Herkimer diamonds on each ribbon, glued them on each side of my Bell of bells each one dangling from the ceiling in the center of the room ....Each ribbon is centered face to the speakers...
Astounding increase in soundstage and better high frequencies difffusion in all the room, then NO MORE link between the sound and the speakers location, and no problem with my bad room topology and the bad location of one speaker near the wall and in a corner...
I am so flabbergasted that if i was reading my own thread i will not believe it myself...
In my 2 positions of listening the sound encompass me...
The reason is that the direct waves from the speakers are now so reinforced in comparison to the indirect waves coming from the room walls and furnitures, that i created a more"informed wave" for the brain to decode and more easily decoded, because of the Bell of cones in the center of the room, and the grid of cones on my Twin Fans enhancer, that work like stable BEACONS with the "Golden Strings" on the flowing waves of sound in the room....These fixed points or beacons made easy for the brain his Fourier analysis of the waves....The Herkimer diamonds also transform the waves by resonance with them....
This is a description of what i experience not an explanation, nor science.... I could not wait for an engineer to say what i must do to create sound heaven, and i could not pay him anyway... And no acoustician i know of advise his customers to do these ACTIVE acoustical room controls by far.... But it is a total success...Passive treatment are different and necessary but way less powerful....They do not reinforce the direct waves in relation to the indirect and reflexive one and this is my explanation....
Speakers design is most of the times if not always secondary to acoustic controls .... This is very well proven for me now....
I dont know if more than 2 or 3 people read this completely insane thread of mine, but i hope to be useful to at least one....

After one hour of listening this time at nearfield i have the same powerful transformation...
Incredible.... Two 13 inches copper ribbons with forty stones each....
I cannot stop listening my very well known files....
I now can affirm with total certitude that the most powerful controls embeddings is the acoustical one passive+active...
The 2 others together cannot give the same amount of spectacular audible effects on soundstage, imaging, dynamic.... The 2 other embeddings work greatly for tonal timbre accuracy and in a lesser way for the soundstage, and imaging and dynamic... But the acoustical controls affect also the timbre accuracy for sure but much more the 3 other characteristics....
It is normal if we think about it, because mechanical embedding controls and electrical one affect the integrity of the signals but the topology of the room play with the aspect of the signals coming from the speakers that will be affected most by a bad synchronisation between direct waves and indirect one, and a bad translation of one into another.... The good translation make possible by active controls i call that a better "informed wave" which is easily and better decoded by the brain's Fourier analysis computer....
I go back to heaven listening for the night ...

I now connected the 2 " Golden Strings" with the thin phone cable to the "Bell of bells" and then to the Schumann resonators grids and to the "Twin Fans" by the same token... All is connected...
The increase in the extension of the high frequencies was audible on the spot...
No negative impact at all.....
The ACTIVE acoustical controls of the room is the SECRET of Audio.... Save perhaps in a totally acoustically designed room and i am not even sure that this will be better, except perhaps by the best acoustical engineer in America... :)
Active acoustical controls create an autonomous space in the room, out of the walls absorbtion or reflective obstructions of the furniture or other conendrums , the results cannot be improved except perhaps if PERFECTLY treated by a competent acoustician...I am not one, i am only creative....
Active acoustical controls is my greatest discovery, and i called the new sound: "informed waves" because the balance between the direct and reflective waves seems to be in synchronisation, thanks also to the powerful resonance passive feed back controls by the Herkimer Diamonds grids....
The same components i did not like so much 2 years ago, i am in love with now and listen to in extasy...My Mission Cyrus 781 speakers, my Starting point systems NOS dac, and my Sansui AU 7700....Changing any of them seems to me useless.... For sure i can buy something better but at a cost that will be ridiculously high compared to this system cost.... And the music is delivered holographically, inhabit my room like the speakers did not exist...
My motto is the truth in AUDIO:
Dont upgrade anything before rightfully embedding everything......

Magister: I have installed my first two golden pyramids directly on my very flat Nordost speaker cables. They fit almost exactly. Initially, I placed the shungite pyramids there without the copper cladding. The result was NOT good! Suppressed highs and meds, flabby mid bass. Muddy image. Ugh. After adding the copper tape (easy after you do the first one) the sound changed dramatically. Mid/Hi resolution returned, transients enhanced, bass tighter than before and vocals clearer than previously. Bear in mind that this is an ongoing experiment and these reactions are very early. In my estimation, the untreated pyramids attracted EMR for adsorption affecting the adjacent cable for up to a meter. Assuming the copper rejects or reflects the EMR, the only shungite surface in play is the one sandwiched on top of the cable or Shumann generator, or connection.
This is one of the nicest placebos I’ve taken in a long time!

Thanks for almost my first positive review of my "golden plate"...It is free idea and low cost then most people dont believe it....
They are able to treat all the electrical grid of the house without introducing any noise of their own...You must put many of them at the right spot... ( no electronic active components inside then no noise)

My most important discovery is not the "Golden Plates" it is the ACTIVE device acoustic controls...Nobody it seems use that except some accidental "tweaks" seller (hallographs for example but this device is not really active but it is more than a passive bass traps or other materials).
Myself i dont buy tweaks i try to understand with my ears and after that i create a device to embed at best the electronical device, speakers or audio system....I retroengineered the hallograph at peanuts costs and made it better. making this passive device an active one...( my Twin Fans room enhancer)

Ok this explanation is only half of the story.... The "golden plates" act also like a passive filtering device and not only like a passive shield, all along their location in the grid... Experiment: Take an agate, a black tourmaline, or a big herkimer diamond or a chunk of ordinary quartz....Put one of them glued to this golden pyramid on the connector... You will observe a kind of filtration by the structure of the minerals working on some different frequencies linked to the stone chosen... .... An agate will give a more expressive mid frequencies and some bass, a quartz will give more in the high frequencies, an herkimer diamond will do like the quartz but better.... The black tourmaline will act in a little higher level of frequencies than the agate and may improve on it.... You can try Kambaba jasper, that will work on the imaging....i will not gives all possible experiments.... I have try many.... My point is: these shungite+copper or "golden plate" does not only shield but filter in some way the line, decreasing the noise floor level by some kind of filtration with an effect that change if we change the stone.... then : shungite+copper+ herkimer diamond or tourmaline or agate etc = some shielding and some filtration.... I am sure now to be treated like a nut against an another nut..... :) |

I decide to add 2 other golden strings with slightly bigger Herkimer diamonds (24 on each strip of 13 inches), i glued them to the cieiling between the other 2 and i connect them all with one another .... Now all is connected by the Bell of Bells to the Schumann generators grid of ten...
Guess what?
Yes increase in the higher frequencies extension and bigger soundstage.... Now i think there is no more improvement possible with these for the time being... :) ( my wife smile with scepticism at my denegation)
My 4 "Golden Strings" are really what moves my other acoustical controls device on another level....
I dont know what to say...
NO my friends, HI-FI experience dont cost money, only creativity.....And simple works, but very attentive listenings....
Dont listen to reviewers and dont trust them, you only need good but not necessarily costly gear, only good one.... The rest is more important than electronic design: taking care of their embeddings, especially the acoustical one.... And most of the times passive materials treatment of a room will not be enough to free the sound.... ACTIVE CONTROL is the way....

UPDATE : Upgrading the " Seven Golden Strings"
I add 3 strings of lava beads because i was lacking of strings of tourmaline to the 4 "golden strings". That work fine but i will replace it someday with strings of tourmaline... These black lava bead strings will not be connected because lava bead can be destructive of the sound if too much near the gear...I use it to isolate normally from EMR on the electrical grid...They have an effect similar to brute quartz but worst , like a too strong cleaner.... :)
But on the ceiling with the other strings they serve as resonant fixed points beacons grid to create an "informed wave" and create a better synchronisation between the waves for the Brain Fourier analysis computer...
I add 2 agate on the coipper string of 2 "golden strings" to give more mid-bass body and that worked immediately....around 140 Herkimer diamonds on 4 strings connected to the S,G. grid create an emphasis slightly on the expansive higher frequencies.... Then the addition of 2 banded agate give an equilibrium that was perfect... I add a few gram chunk of shungite on the Bell of Bells for the same reason.... That was a success.... I know what i do with stones after all these years... Each one is a unique resonator or filter or the 2....
Even my wife that says all day that i am nut admit that the sound is extraordinary and she does not listen to music et dont give a dam about that..... :) |

GENERAL UPDATE:
Difficult to sleep...The audio system is stupendous now...
I add a few lava strings, 3 more , lava beads strings+golden strings= 10 nowdangling from the ceiling...(affecting the imaging mainly and the soundstage)
I add many "Golden Plates", one on the router(a fourth one there) one on the electrical meter outside of the house, and a few more on the electrical central panels where i already had 7 of them...
results :
Imaging improved another notch and clarity all across the frequencies...
I listened to Empire Brass, a brass ensemble that plays Gabrieli, a files i know by heart and very difficult to put on his best sounding level.... The differences were stunning...
My conclusion is always the same motto:
Dont uppgrade ANYTHING before embedding EVERYTHING....
Seriously i think i am at the end of the road with these electronic components(speakers,dac and amplifier) But i am careful because i was thinking that same thing about these components few months ago....And they improve with the increasing controls of the embeddings...
Another conclusion where i will repeat myself:
Most of us dont know what the system we own is able to give at all in S.Q. ... This is why upgrading one element is most of the time premature, and if not premature, a folly, if we dont know how much the other components can deliver in S.Q. It is necessary to know the other components capability before changing one....

I add an entire new row of 8 lava beads strings directly over my head at 2 feet from the first original row...
That was a very good idea.... The imaging is improved and now for the first time i listen to my brass ensemble for the first time, really, even if i had listen to it for the last 7 years....
How to hear the notes and the encompassing, interprenetrating radiant and agleam halos of the different brass instrument including tubas, trumpets and trombones, without loosing nor the notes neither the interprenetrating halos in a room where one of the speakers is almost on the wall and in a corner?
My soundstage is of the dimension of the room and equal out of each speakers, despite their dissymetric positioning.... :)
The speakers/ room equation, and the electrical embedding are keys....My music is no more handicapped by speakers location....
ACTIVE room controls is the way to speakers audio.... Passive treatment, except for an entirely engineered perfect room, will not do enough for compensating the room topology and the speakers locations....
I never even read information about active controls in audio thread, except active controls with electronic components...My active controls are resonators of different kind linked together with no electronic components except the Schumann generators grid...

It is insane that adding some strings to the ceilings made so much difference...
And i dont understand why one "golden Plate" on the external electrical meter do the job but 3 compress too much the sound, because i add 9 golden plates to the 7 already on the electrical central panel and the results were good without compression....
If someone know :) i wait for explanation.....
Nevermind i feel like all music is new again.... I know i repeat myself, but the last 2 years, and particularly the last years was so filled with improvements and listenings experience and discovery....
I began to feel that the acoustic science is very interesting , but i feel sound phenomena are more complex that what is teach everywhere in audio thread...

I add 6 chrysocolla and 2 big tourmaline strings....
For the reader i am not sure that it is the stones composition that plays the greatest role, except for Herkimer diamond which are powerful resonators...But these 26 strings is MY GREATEST CREATION.....
The cost is ridiculous compared to the audible effect...
Restoration of a powerful dynamic and huge encompassing powerfully dynamic soundstage at my 2 positions of listening...

The reality is simply that the last change and increase with these 8 new strings exceed all anteriors changes in power...If i think about that perhaps it is the chrysocolla and tourmaline that explain that because lava beads are the less useful stones for sound like ruby and not great resonators ...After gluing my first strings with Herkimer diamonds which was very powerful change, the addition of lava beads strings help and increase thing but in a lesser way than with the chrysocolla and tourmaline and these stones are very powerful in sound audio, that was already known by me....Then perhaps their internal structure and their resonant capacity plays a role like for H.D.
Now it is probably the END of this thread....
I dont know how to increase these results and i dont give a dam now.... I only want to listen music.....

UPDATE : Upgrading to 28 " Golden Strings" 4 with 2 feet lenght
It seems my thread about embeddings is not closing yet... :)
I sleep very well but not much...
I decide to add to the 13 inches grid of 26 Golden strings, 2 more longer strings... I use 2 tourmaline strings already in place but they were in fact necklace, i open them and gain 2 feet strings instead of a double 13 inches.... I remember that i had bought 2 other necklaces of tourmaline.... I open them and now i glued to the ceiling beside the golden strings grid of 13 inches the 4 longer strings of tourmaline...
The upgrade to 28 golden strings now was really something....(22 of 13 inches lenght and 4 of 2 feet lenght)
More bass, more encompassing dynamical sounds....In my 2 positions nearfield and regular...
There is no more relation between this audio system when i bought it and put it in a non controlled acoustic room and in a almost non controlled electrcial grid and the situation now...
I will add photos soon....

i was so amazed by the last 2 feet strings, i go in my basement, pich the last 2 necklaces and transform these necklace that were glued on my principal electrical line in "strings" of 2 feet... Anyway with 16 " golden plates" my central electrical panel is already under controls...
And guess what?
Adding these 2 beside the other 2, 3 on each side of the 3 rows of 13 inches 24 "golden strings "with H. D. and the one with lava beads, makes the bass more precise and more powerful.... Imaging better....
I think i am done or nuts, but in the 2 cases i am happy...
I read Floyd Toole, one of the foremost authority in acoustic, there is nothing in his science about active non electronic room controls with passive and active interlinked Schumann generator and my grid of "golden strings"...
Acoustic seems to be waves to passively interact with, the guide and foremost law being the equations of their very linear habits.... :)
These laws were most useful for the creation of very large musical Hall after the Greek theater inspiration...Small room are other best completely to be tamed....
But waves are very intelligent indeed, non linear in their working, and can be made more "wise", what i called an "informed wave" by active feed back with device like a grid of S.G. and grid of resonators and grid of "strings"...
The brain need fixed grid points in the flowing waves to catch the flow and recreate the recording acoustic and differentiate it from the room acoustic at the same time...The brain wait for cues....The "golden strings" gives them these cues in an array of tags informing the conflicting direct and indirect waves how to walk together in rythm (time synchronisation) so to speak.......Fourier analysis easier then for the computing brain...
I dont know if i am nuts but my audio system is the best i ever had, no comparison, and the best i ever listen to....Not bad for a 500 dollars used equipment well choosen tough....
All my 6 headphones sound like trash and i dont listen to them for music...

mahgister... I took the plunge and purchased some shungite tile,black tourmaline and herkimer diamonds. I arranged them on top of my circuit breaker box as you have suggested... and without a doubt...all combined together... they make for a most impressive lowering of ac line noise and distortion. Great tweak for the money! Thanks for the post and enjoy the music!!!

Try that with a cooper self adhesive tape on the external side of the application.... And try that on the main router of your house and any lovations all along the electrical grid of the house... But NOT on the main gear, except behind the speakers electronic and connectors... Power supply and surge protectors, power strips etc.... |

I add today 8 new lava strings of 2 feet lenght each one...
My grid od "golden strings" is located between my head and the speakers in an irregular/regular array...
Ears and intuition works well together indeed...
Only you ears can advise you? who else? No room is the same, every different content has his own acoustic properties, the furniture is different because of his materials composition, form, and location, and the room geometry is different, and the location of the different audio system will be also different... How can you use a gross rule pre-establish by a computer equation that ignores all that and base his calculus only on some pre-selected frequencies nodes ? And many "specialist" goe with the rules, it is more effficient when you have no time and many customers waiting...
Ok my rant is over....
This addition gives me more of the same: more claity, imaging, soundspace and dynamic...

UPDATE: Three "Golden plates" on the electrical external meter of my house instead of one..
Remember that i add 3 yesterday, but let only one because in spite of the greater clarity (decreasing EMR) i had the impression of a slight compression of my soundstage...
Today i replace them three on the meter, and after all the room modification with the new many " Golden Strings", clarity increase but no loss of soundstage...
In my favorite playing of the Chopin "Nocturnes" by Moravec, the clarity was revealing more the left hands chords were more clean...
This cd is pure recording marvel....and the interpretation is top of the pianistic world....
"Golden plates " second only to the "Golden fingers" in my few homemade miraculous devices...
I say it myself because if i dont say it who will?

This fact about near listening that many audiophiles communicate all across thread are false... They say and think that they are safe from the room obstructive influence the more they are near the direct sound of the speakers...
This is totally false...
We listen in a room, near the speakers or not, the influence of the room waves, direct or reflectives, are tremendously powerful on the S.Q in a positive or negative way...
My experience is we must USE the room to climb toward a great musical experience.... Erasing the influence of the room comes from a false opposition between the truth of the recordoing and the demonization of the room...
The brain/ears works with cues from all reflected sound in the room, in a positive and negative way, to recreate the "impression" from the sonic cues coming also from the recording through the room.... It is completely untrue to think that the brain dont need the cues of a room to recreate the live recording....Those who want an anechoic chamber to listen to music will die there in few days.... :)
Echos, reverberations, and other indirect waves are like bacteria in the metabolism, they make the body able to assimiliate and accomodate itself through the agression of direct sound, and make it able to recreate the information encoded, the blind can even navigate with these indirect sounds, they make the body able to metabolize the sound and inform itself about the sound message and origin in an improved way....
The impressions of the live recording event dont comes immaculate from the drivers speakers alone out of no room, they are recreated by the brain from all waves in the room coming from the speakers and the reaction of the room geometry and content to the speakers...
Why not using that fact instead of negating it? |
GENERAL UPDATE:
The acoustical space of my room especially with the creation of the "Golden Fingers" has modified completely the balance of the sound...
I eliminated 80% of my singing resonators, keeping only those that complement the absorption and diffusive effects of the Gold Fingers and the Twin Fans with resonators...
In the past my room was slightly too much reflective and now with this new balance the diffusive surfaces being more important, the sound is improved....
i has now 50 Golden fingers most of them 2 feet lava beads strings or tourmaline or 13 inches herkimer diamonds strings or chrysocolla beads....the materials composition if these stones dont play the prime role, their working for diffusion of waves is the prime function....Except for Herkimer diamonds that are powerful resonators then act not only like diffusers but also resonators...
The S.Q, is so improved that i cannot say otherwise:
Acoustic is the portal of higher S.Q. generally and for most....Nearfield listening or regular position, in any small room...

UPGRADE on the Vibrations/resonance embeddings: I have already something not perfect but good... "Sandwiches" quartz feet on my desk, on top of it a granite plate, in between sorbothane, another granite plate, a cork plate, ad on top a bamboo plate.... This was vey good because the varieties of materials act together and complement each other in damping... But it is not perfect, the cost was around 50 dollars for the 2 speakers.... And i was happy... But when you miss something you are not always aware of which is missing... I bought 8 chinese aluminium adjustable box with 6 springs in their cells... I install it on top of my "sandwiches".... Guess what? An improved controls and a better clarity all around the frequencies spectrum....An improvement on my "sandwiches" that was immediately audible.... (careful to adjust the compression with the load ) But caution: I adjust the springs compression, in function to the load to support, with some concrete slabs on top of my speakers (but you can adjust by putting less springs than 6 in each box)...I keep my sandwiches for 2 reasons: the speakers are on my desk and the 21/2 inches of the sandwiches height posit my speakers tweeters at the right height, and keeping more isolation from the desk is not a bad thing at all..... The adjusting of the compression springs is VERY important to reach a good frequencies equilibrium....around 30 % compression for the eyes.... Are you using the skid pads? Did you compare the sound, with and without?
I understand the "sandwiches" in your system; did you evaluate the sound without them, employing ONLY the foot pads, and possibly varying the number of springs? |
