Or is it the power of the S.G. conveying the structural quality of the liliputian H.D. on top of the Tourmaline+"golden" plate, transforming the acoustical space of the room?

It is not solely the piezo effect for sure.... :)


If it was the piezo effect only, the 3 gram H.D. at the same spot would be more efficient than the same stone, weighting 1/ 16 of his weigh...But on the contrary the liliputian has almost more power to transform the acoustical space of the room and with a more subtle softness  and a strong dynamic....

OK, I’ll bite. Why not? Is it crouching tigers, flying lizards?

Update about liliputian Herkimer diamonds :

I added one on all my 8 Schumann generators in the audio room, the more I added the more the sound increase in clarity and softness without any lost on any count... I added now 3 liliputians on the black Hong-kong Ufeel costlier S.G. that sit on top of my computer screen, between the 2 speakers, and wow...

Never the Grumiaux violin in Bach concertos has been so atmospherical and detailed, the imaging more spacious and the orchestra more present... I listen to this cd for 30 years...I think I know it...

If you want to know what is a good sound, it is difficult to convey that in words even with the best metaphor, but if you cannot stop listen after hours and hours, that is the beginning of a good sound... :)

I will repeat myself, how a .175 gram stones can be more powerful than all other stones, enhancing them all ?
It is only a quartz variety that look like quartz, even if it is called Herkimer diamond... Miracles indeed for 2 dollars all in all... :)

Update about my "singing" resonators and reflectors...

The configuration of my audio room is not a perfect square...Furniture occupy it irregularly, and one of the speaker is enclosed against a wall for half his surface...A very bad position and remember that all my electronical components are on my desk near a computer...The controls of vibrations-resonance was fundamental...The cleaning of the electrical noise also...It is the reason why I discover by myself the 3 embeddings of an audio system is the ONLY key that opens the door of audiophile experience...Not the price paid for electronic components like most believes in... 

How to create an imaging that is good and entertaining and immersive for that room and for 2 dissymmetrically placed speakers, in my 2 possible listening positions, in nearfield and in a regular one ?

How to reinforce the bass response without alterating the other parts of the spectrum ?

By a selective placement, locations, height, orientation, of my 10 sets of 5 "singing resonators and reflectors ( metal bucket+ one stone in the center with a copper tape crossing the aperture of each one). Low cost and flexibility of orientation make be able to project the sound in the way I want...

I use many other acoustical methods: Schumann generators, Helmholtz resonator, varied materials for absorption on the walls and ceiling....All low cost (S.G.) if not homemade...But without the "singing reflectors I would not be able a so flexible orientation of the sound flows in the room...


Is it perfect? No... Is it very good? Yes...


Cost of the 50 metal buckets 100 dollars... Try that with official acoustical materials and calculate the cost... Brass would cost me thousand of dollars and would probably be better tough... :)

Ok I live an unexplained something today...A miracle without any prayer saying before it happens...

I like my Mission Speakers very much, The Cyrus 781 are the best speakers Mission ever made... This is the opinion of someone that know them all and sold them for years...

I read all I can before buying a pair for 80 bucks...But they were broken, one of them was with a  less powerful tweeter than the other...I call back the seller and I say that his speakers were in bad shape...I bought them without listening to them and now I  want my money back... He offers me to cut the price half and I said ok to the deal...

I connected them, and I learned to like them a step at a time... At this time few years ago my tweaks were not in their actual state... I compensate with the balance control the imbalance of the speakers...It was annoying but they were better even with this imbalance than the other Mission speakers I bought few months before, a very good Mission model also...

The miracle happen few weeks after I put 2 "golden" plates behind each of the back of these speakers, the sound improvement were audible immediately...

Now this week my wife observed that the speakers imbalance that was there just some days ago, were no more there...I put the balance control to his normal setting and effectively the 2 speakers now sound on the same level of power intensity at this setting balance...

No explanation, no change, except these "golden" plated added to the speakers.... How can speakers repair themselves?  Is the electronic component electrolytic stimulated by the shungite? I dont know engineering audio nor electronic...But now I have perfect speakers …. :)

 

Another interesting fact...

Some plates and stones have fallen from the breaker panel in my basement, unbeknownst to me...  I was listening new unknown files for the first times after a trip of 2 days, without using my audio system and dont realize it immediately...When I put a files I know by heart for 30 years, Bach Organ by Walcha, I was frustrated immediately by a loss in the  imaging space...My wife comes and  speak to me about the falling off in the basement...I go down, repair it and WOW... The imaging  comes back like in his first glory...


For those who think " placebo" effects... Think about this story... :) 

There exist at minimum 3 embeddings of an audio systems...

But one of them has 2 side:
the passive room treatment with absorbent or reflective materials,
and the active acoustical space modifications of the rooms...

They are not synonymous at all...They are not the same thing even if they play a role in the modification of the acoustic...

I use the "singing" reflectors and the Helmholtz resonators in a way very complementary to the passive room treatment but they are not the same thing...They are used in a more active way because of the importance of the locations , height, and orientations in the room...

The modified Schumann Generator are another powerful active way to modify the acoustical space...The more active and impactful one in his effects...

Then keep in mind when we speak about three embeddings:

1-The mechanical environment of each electronic component (vibrations-resonances controls)

2-The electrical grid of the room and of the house

3a-the passive room treatment with materials
3b-the active acoustical space modifications

The electrical grid of the house is so powerful destroyer of the audio system S.Q. I am baffled...

I just put some small "golden" plate on another telephone box in the basement (I already was taken care of the other 2)...Incredible increase in dynamics and clarity....This comes after I just said to my wife that now for sure my audio system is at his peak working level, and we must wait for nothing of great magnitude about S.Q. :)


The audible effect of this minor change is astounding....Muddy Waters "folk singer" an audiophile cd with unmistakable recording quality makes me able to seize immediately the magnitude of the improvement....

If I had the money I would buy a big lithium battery, I will tweak it with my golden plates to decrease his noise level, and i am sure that the results would be better off the electrical grid...


Most people dont know the negative powerful impact of the electrical grid of the house.... They have never listened to their system peak potential S.Q. and they want to upgrade their electronic components with more costly one....How sad!

My internet provider is the telephone bell company...

Putting more "golden" plates on these 3 boxes and the wall unused plugs linked to these boxes makes a big differences...It was immediately noticeable, but after hours of music, I know for sure because plenty of details are new on some files...


Really the 4 methods linked to my 3 embeddings are the ONLY way to give yourself a great audiophile experience....

Unbeknownst to us, the electrical grid is the great destroyer of the sound....Discussing amplifier choices or tastes or even dac choices, after that seems preposterous, because the difference between electronic components is most of the times insignificant,compared to decreasing the noise floor of the electrical grid, especially if these electronic components are on the same rung of the scale price...Even the difference between speakers can be critically assessed only in a treated room and in an acoustically modified space ( remember that this a 2 different things)...How is the sound of a speaker is a question that has no meaning except for the designer out of a specific room....


I am flabbergast another time with my last "golden" plate use....And by this disruptive power of the electrical grid and the high level of the noise floor...I know that 6 months ago for example, but i am flabbergast anyway each times this noise floor is decreased...Imagine those people who believes all is right in their audio kingdom because of their new amplifier or dac; for sure all is better with a better piece of E.C. but at the end it is a veiled costly illusion that hide the essential ... :) I cannot laugh because I was one of them, and I am again one of them because I myself underestimated the high noise floor of my electrical grid to this day....I can smile but I cannot laugh indeed... :)


A big lithium battery for the dac and the amplifier will cost big money.... I dont have this money then i had no other choice now to add new "golden" plates....

I had a new idea to makes them more powerful ….But I must wait from China.... :)

For the moment I have not investigated, like you, information fields...It will comes indeed after I will de done with these 3 embeddings in four parts ( i distinguish now active and passive acoustical room controls)...The fourth will be more subtle to investigate like you know already...And I dont think this is interesting to investigate the fourth with the physical 3 others in bad shape...

But do you believe the shungite plates are preventing RF from entering the router box and thus from entering the audio circuits? Do you believe the shungite plates are somehow absorbing RF that may be inside the router box? Be very careful before answering. 😀

I know that shungite does not work with piezo electrical effect, I can believe shungite work against RF but I dont know that... What I believe and know is that stones in an electro magnetic field work in a way and modify its effect...My metaphor for it is " filtering" because no stones act on the exact same frequencies in the same manner.... But all that is speculation... I know for sure that crystals and stones affects acoustical perception of music why? Explain it to me....

RF would simply do and end run around the shungite. 🏈

Shungite is not like a Bounty Towel, the Quicker Picker Upper. So what left? Well, there is placebo effect. Don’t get me wrong. I would not object to a placebo effect every once in a while. It occurs to me the latest and greatest audiophile products employ Graphene, not shungite. But maybe there is a market for shungite, too. Let’s wait and see. 👀

Update About the breaker panel:

I add 2 another "golden" plates on the breakers panel, glued with nanotaper, the audible effect were striking.... It was the 12 th and 13 th in my basements, and the 7 th and 8 th on the breakers panel (all around 275 gram each)… There are 5 located on the optical cables boxes and wall unused plug....

These 2 last one provoke a great deal audible effects and I was surprized indeed...I  calculate the cost of a big lithium battery compared with the cost of all the shungite plates , it is 1000 dollars I save with the plates...But is the result are the same? I dont know but I doubt that the battery non treated with my golden plates would be way better that what I have now...

Placebo effect is not cumulative in this way, for example before placing a G.P. (golden plate) at some place, I tried some other places...The effects are never the same in intensity.... The weigh of the G.P. plays also a role...Then the placebo effect work only with some critical weigh and at some favorite location? And the placebo effect work cumulatively? It is a great deal to put on the back of the placebo effect... :)

Placebo effect is part of any experiment yes, but cannot be invoked for explaining everything....My breakers panels is not my body, I cannot fool it with a placebo product instead of the regular aspirin...Placebo effect experiment need statistical calculus for his impact to be estimated and eliminated, on a crowd in a medical experiment, because it is already always there and cannot grow if not use with reinforced suggestion, because each patient is a sensible suggestible reactive organism in some way...The population of breakers panels dont react like a population of living body.... For sure my psychic brain is suggestible, but reducing all my audio experiment with different locations, weights and differents stones, to placebo effect, because there is no apparent alteration of the electronic components is too much assuming explanation for my taste... :) It seems you dont have explanations at all simply...At least I have one, the electrical grid is sensible and modified when we introduce something in them...

I dont know about graphene... I will try some liquid formula from china , I wait for, to put that on the G.P to enhance them if possible.... I will see...


But the effect of my G.P. mimic the effects others reported about graphene based products, perhaps not with the same power and efficiency, I dont know... But in my audio system the G.P. formula is striking, conjugated with the Shumann Generator, the golden plate+H.D. and tourmaline they are very powerful...So powerful my results that I enjoy very much what I have already, even if better effect is possible, the cost will surpass my wish to go there...I want homemade formula at low cost... :)

My point,( seems "to have gone whoosh! over your head"), is not that shungite blocked the R.F. at all, my point is that the structural qualities of each stone I used, introduced in an electrical grid, alters the grid( by some "filtering" and this is only my metaphor to describe the effect, I agree with you on that)....Then it is not necessary to cover all the breakers panel to have a powerful effect like you said....

The last year of my audio journey, with all these simple homemade creations of mine, i produced in a way an another audio system with the same electronic basic components, amp, dac, speakers...

Explaining a total change in imaging, dynamic, timbre, soundstage, increased clarity in frequencies and perception of new details,  by placebo effect is a bit too much.... If someone dont have an explanation it is better to say so, better than invoke the useful ghost out of the medical context in the experimental fields...By the way in the course of my experiments there is also a "nocebo" effect, the contrary effect of placebo where instead of an improvement there is a degradation effect... This is when the bad stones is located at a bad location....


But "placebo" + "nocebo" cancel each other....Then subsist the necessity to explain the increasing positive effect at the end... :)

But repeated experiments with different locations, weigh, different stones on a breaker "inert" non living panel or on electronic components is not reducible to this ice-fire effect on a suggestibe living body controlling itself unconsciously....

I was not suggested by someone that these stones will work that way and some others another way, and some others dont...For example ruby is not very good for positive impact on the electrical grid of an audio system...Shungite no more than ruby is always good directly on the electronic component except some E.C. like the S.G....

Nobody suggested positive or negative impacts in advance to my brain( the structural qualities pertaining to each stones is on a non living E.C. like the hot or fire properties on a living body.... Then how placebo can explain all the structural different qualities of each stones associated with many different locations? In the placebo example, it was suggested fire will hit the cobaye not ice; in the experiments many different structural qualities of the stones are unpredictable, because of weigh, location, and difference between the stones....

The important words are: "the beneficial effect... cannot be attributed to the properties of the placebo itself"


How do you know that the structural differentiated properties of each stones cannot be the cause of some physical changes in the audio grid, resulting in a different positive or negative perceived impact?


Discarding the importance of this fact, : each stones is very different from others, you reduce arbitrarily some possible physical effects, negative and positive, resulting from the introduction in an audio grid of some different objects to an undifferentiated psychological effect of a mind on his own body by suggestion....It seems to me that one is not reducible to the others without negating some facts before any investigation... Then speaking for this phenomena of placebo effect is premature to say the least...

Back to my obsessive mind state.... :)

I just order 12 shungite tiles to makes my last "golden" plates....

But the graphene + mica liquid I wait for will take much times to comes, thank to the coronavirus...


With these 12 tiles of 110 grams each, lighter than my other tiles, I will cover more ground….Cost 100 dollars....(1,500 grams of shungite)


I cannot wait because the last additions in my basement gives a great upgrade to the imaging power of my audio system at the 2 listening locations, regular or nearfield ....

I am very pleased now but I am addict to the improvements and want to touch the limits of my actual system which I never think would be able to gives me so much.... :)

It seems my Mission Cyrus speakers, after suddenly repairing by themselves( I dont know how to this day), were a good purchase, the Sansui AU 7700 is astonishing, and my starting Point System NOS dac without perceptible limitations in this audio system with my ears.... Then after all these tweaks in the 4 areas : mechanical and electrical, and in the acoustical passive and active modes, I will know what is the real potential of my system finally....


I will repeat my mantra, rant, and experience ;the majority of us do not know what the system we have is capable of, to begins with....Dont buy anything, before deep thinking....

Yes Mr. Owen will send me the liquid formula but because of postal services problems I wait for him to send me some news about that....I want to use that on my "golden" plates....

The "golden" plates are very easy to make and with some other stones, like Herkimer diamond and tourmaline, are a powerful noise cleaner in the electrical grid.... The results I enjoyed so far looks like some astonishing descriptions from other products by some customers....

My intuition is to apply the shungite-mica on one side(not the copper side) of the plate...I use thin small golden plates in conjugation with my Schumann generator to actively modify the acoustical space of a room already, it will be simple to add the graphene+mica on a thin plate and listen the result....

I was actually referring to Mr. Owen's mix. He makes PVA mica/graphene mix and PU mica/graphene mix. The one to get is the PVA mix.

You can get PVA woodworking glue at any hardware store.

No, Mr. Owen's PVA mix already has the PVA in the mix. The first lot I got from him was an alcohol blend, with no PVA. But it rubbed off much too easily. He solved this by making the PVA mix. By then I had already made my own PVA mix from the original mix.

The only problem is the postal services....Alas! this corona crisis seems to be a big crisis with no end in sight....

Each action taken in one of the 4 embeddings are irreplaceable by another action in one or even by 3 different actions in all of the three other remaining embeddings...


For example the positive effects of a better control of the vibrations-resonance cannot be replaced by a better cleaning of the electrical grid of the house, or by a passive acoustical modification by changing some materials on the walls of my room, or in a more active way by introducing some Helmholtz resonator, or my "singing" resonator, or some Schumann generator...If you dont control the mechanical vibrations you will not be able to compensate that by acoustical modification of the space, passive or active one,or by some tweaks in the electrical grid...


Each modifications in each of the embeddings generate some specific effets that the other modifications cannot replace....


An audio system is a complex web of intrications between acoustical space, mechanical and electro-magnetic interaction...So complex that when you think about it and the way audio system are sold in any commercial office, that boggle the mind to think how incomplete is the information necessary to create a real hi-fi experience.... It is easy also to create the illusory belief that paying much money to go upgrading some gear from one rung of the scale going toward the higher one will give you real Hi-Fi... At best it is an half truth....


We cannot remedy the problems of the acoustical space of a room with a better dac, or a better amplifier, or a better speakers system... Same thing is true for the electrical grid....Upgrading an amplifier will not improve the electrical noise floor of the house....


If we remind ourself that the % of the S. Q. is for more than half of it dependent of these embeddings, not only of the electronic components, we begins to understand many false assumption about audio....

I say all that because this evening, changing slightly the orientation of some of my resonators gives me a better dynamic and a better image in the room....Slight change= Big improvement, sometimes....


Most of the times we need a new piece of gear like a fish need a bicycle....

It seems all details count in Audio...

The power supply of my dac, Ifipower, was on some cork plate with shungite, near the floor of my room....

I forget that this shungite was nude without copper, then this was not a "golden" plate....Today I go to a flea market, I spot a 5 pound alabaster thick plate (old ashtray) I bought it...


I put it on top of the cork plate on the floor and put the Ifipower on it...I transform my shungite plate in a"golden" plate with copper tape....I had forget about that power supply because it is under the wooden box where is my computer...

It takes only one minute of listening to hear the more detailed sound.... :)

The "golden" plate like they are now are the real deal.... The alabaster plate also decouple better the Ifipower from the floor than just the cork plate only.... That work flawlessly with no negatives ….

There exist so many points in the complex grid encompassing the audio system in each house that only incremental step by step controls methods, using multiple ways in its 4 dimensional embeddings, can gives to each of us the solution to a greater S.Q.; an upgrade S.Q. without any purchase of a costly electronic component for a fraction of the price.

I read an article about a 40 thousand dollars P.C. USB server and dac, and comparing the same musical files in my P.C. with the impressions of the reviewer, gives me the feeling that the gap between this marvellous piece of engineering and my humble audio system, but very tweaked and controlled installation, was not an abyss... Most people underestimated the noise level on their house electrical grid and think that upgrading for example the conditioner will solve the problem, or purchasing a miraculous power supply...All that will give an upgrade decreasing the noise level, but introducing a noise of its own....

The law of diminishing returns is way more lower than most of us think when we address the embeddings of our audio system the right way, without introducing new electronical component with their own noise level ...

There exist NO electronical component that will not contribute in an higher noise level.... It is always a trade-off...This is the reason why " non electronical way" to act on the electrical grid is so impactful....Personally I choose the passive ways with stones, especially my "golden" plates....No trade-off in the noise floor....

I am astounded by the fact that the S.Q. we lost, unbeknownst to us, because of a too much higher noise floor, is totally out of our consciousness like a blind spot... It surprise me each times when I lower the noise floor, because it is an incremental step by step process, no miracle here....

 Perhaps going off the grid is the way, but the cost are way too much for me now to try it....But even battery introduce noise then my "golden" plates will be useful there also....

Today I added 2 other USB  Schumann generators to my 8 others...With "golden" thin plates and Herkimer diamond or tourmaline on the connector plugs in the wall and on top of them...

There are located all around me at left and right, front and rear...It is magical, the imaging is better each time I added one.... That cost is low 10 bucks each except the costly one in front of me....It is way better than one costly one, because they are all around and work uniformly....

I will return in my heaven now.... My best to all....

Update:

After many hours of listening in my 2 position: nearfield and the regular one the audible effects of the 2 new added Schumann generators + thin golden plate+ tourmaline or Herkimer diamond are evident...

The sound is more airy and less linked to the speakers than ever, like floating in the room or around me in nearfield...More refine sound....

The way to go is USB S.G. because it is cheap and you can put many of them around you (10 for me) and then they work more powerfully on the room acoustics in this way than only one in a not so ideal location....Think about that: for 20 bucks I have something, these 2 new S.G. that feel like the upgrade of an amplifier or like a new dac ….I change no piece of my main gear tough for 2 years now, only adds each times something to refine the controls of my 4 embeddings mostly the electrical one and the acoustical one....

And in most threads now people speak about dac costing a truck load of money or amplifier or speakers without knowing the simple way to upgrade and install rightfully what they already own that is often already top of the line …

The fact that they are not satisfied by the sound they already have speak volume about the lacks of the right embedding for their audio system, if they care about the 4 embeddings at all...For the last 2 years I am no more interested in a sound savior incarnated by a "miraculous" trade mark new brand speakers, dac, or amplifiers....I know what makes any good hi-fi system truly really great....It is cheap and rewarding...

a remark:

It is incredible but each increasing S.Q. change is incremental and build on the previous one...The road is open and you go on behind each leading improvement idea coming from the last one...

The level of changes I had experienced in the last years exceed by all measure all the changes in my first 6 years of unconscious moves toward improvement, at this times mainly by dreaming about a miraculous piece of gear like the ultimate solution ( Berning ZOTL amplifier for example, and I dont doubt about the high quality of this component I dream to buy one day).


Just a little change in my audio system that is very sensible now can reveal astounding improvement... One inch rectangular piece of Shungite+ copper tape on one side ( what I called a thin"golden" plate) put on only one Schumann generator( I have 10 S.G. ) makes a spectacular improvement in piano timbre and rendition for example...


The more your system is rightly embedded the more some tiny or innocuous modification gives to you some impactful impression....


I am amazed to report here one change after another in my audio system, I am amazed and I am conscious now of this fact: almost all people are unconscious of the higher capabilities of their own audio system …. Dont buy anything costly, think before....

If my remark are useful for only one of you I will be glad....If someone had teach me that the first years would have been less painful less frustrating and more fun....Newcomers like I was, except for buying, we dont know what to do and where to begins... It is simple, there exist mainly 4 embeddings : mechanical, electrical, and 2 acoustical room modifications way, one passive the other active... You begins with these 4, little by little changes....Homemade simple stuff and low cost materials are all is needed...

I just posted great results with three S.G.s (usb versions)
and 10 foot cables.  I found a plug online that has 3 ports.
Too easy!

I have both Synergistic Research hfts and DIY hfts.

Placing one hft in the middle of the S.G. is very nice.
Maybe I should try the hft mounted on a Shungite rectangle,
attached to the S.R.?

Try with my thin "golden plate" = one little shungite plate for cell phone+ copper tape on one side...

Place it on the usb platform of the S.G....You can add some tourmaline or Herkimer diamond on top of the golden plate to modify the sound to your liking...

By the way the Schumann generator for sure affect the acoustical perception of the room, but I use it with the golden plate and some other stones to enhance the effect...And it is way more powerful with that then only the S.G. without anything else on it...

The S.G. work like a stone " filtering" power enhancement system for the acoustical grid of the room... But Stones and golden plate also "filters" in a way the electrical grid this is my experience when located on the breaker panel for example...

I use the word " filtering" in a metaphorical sense to describe my experience and impressions...Anyway nobody write anything I know of about that phenomenon...

I use the word "filtering" because no stones work in the same window nor in the same level...Be it an amethyst, agate, jasper,fluorite,tourmaline, jade, quartz, lava beads, malachite, shungite, etc, the list is too long to enumerate all the experiments I made with these different stones....

My system cost me 500 hundred dollars and the S.Q. exceed many way much costly system...

Audio is not about electronic engineering only, because a good piece of gear is equivalent to another good piece of gear, modulo some differences for sure; audio is mostly about the embeddings of any system, without which no system can sound at his peak potential possibilities...

Almost all audio forums are misleading and are about buying this or that, not about how to embed the audio components...If what you are is already good, and most of us owns already very decent apparatus, why upgrading like sheep without thinking about the question : how  to embed my audio system?

UPDATE:

I replace all  ordinary quartz sticks that shielded the tone controls of my Sansui amplifier with selenite quartz... The results were good with these but the results are better with selenite the sound is more natural with more weigh...

I order them because their format were more adequate but it seems they are better not only for a better fitting but for a better S.Q. also...

I feel myself ridiculous at this hour in history to makes some update about some homemade Synergetic research HFT I make... 15 on speakers and walls… After many hours the increase soundstage and better imaging is very sensible and easy to spot.... Thanks to sgordon1 for the suggestion....

 My best to all in this horrible times.... Perhaps music and our audio hobby can help to maintain spirit...
