7 Stages of Gear Acquisition Syndrome

You've probably never come across the numb-nuts that would buy hi-end 60s-70s guitars and have absolutely no idea what to do with those.

I'm happy with my Ibanez nylon strings acoustic-electric which I use in most cases. It does everything for me I'd like to play. I can even use distortion, but I'm mostly into bossa-nova, flamenco and gypsy jazz. For my steel strings I use Epiphone MasterBuilt. Total investment on guitars is about $800 for both. Same invested for amps and pedals

The biggest crime are the guys who collect them and DON"T EVEN PLAY!

Why? Should people who collect China use it?  What about guys who collect knives?  :)

Collecting is different from upgrading. GAS starts from "Gardener's Syndrome" - constant need to trim and repot, never being completely satisfied.  I guess that's what this hobby is.

The article leans towards those who collect guitars.

How about the celeb/dotcom types who display them on their wall behind them so you can see it in a zoom meeting.
