Hey Jah,
What 5.1 inputs?? If you mean HDMI, AFAIK it's just for DSD and home theater.
If that's not what you mean you may need to be a little more specific.
Legacy Vs Modern
Hello all, quick question for the group, is using a "higher end" preamp and utilizing the 5.1 inputs for modern codecs better, or should I concentrate on more modern electronics? I have been posting a fair amount for me, and with some guidance purchased an ADA PTM-6150 for an amp, my plan is to run my Pioneer Elite SC37 for pre/pro duties, but I have a line on an ADA Cinema Rhapsody Mach II for under $200, would I see any benefit, or would I see worse sound with a legacy pre/pro??
@erik_squires talking surround sound, using my sc37 for Dolby true HD and DTS master audio, or using the 5.1 on an older “higher end” pre amps inputs and a properly equipped Blu-ray player for newer surround modes, @russ69 I’m wondering if that ADA cinema rhapsody Mach II would be an upgrade over my pioneer elite SC37 receiver running preamp duties… |
@oddiofyl that is true, but I am running a Pioneer Elite BDP80fd for a bluray player, no 5.1 out on this machine, so I would have to factor in the price of 6 new interconnects and a different bluray player too, I have always wanted to try an Oppo, but they seem to demand a premium on the second hand market :).... |
