$55K now with KT88 tubes. Jay's Audio Lab had a presentation of the version from a year ago. Then the Lampi Pacific was $30K. I suppose to the millionaire class these prices are just pocket change! I feel that gear like this is just jewelry and sound quality can be matched by far less expensive stuff. Heck, my Khadas KTB DAC has textbook-perfect linearity, low noise and distortion. A DAC is just like a sound card in size and parts count. I fail to see why these Lampi DAC's have to cost cost five-figures! Trophies for the gullible rich to brag about to their clueless buddies.

@jasonbourne71 - It’s all relative. Those prices are pocket change for some people. I would imagine they sound absolutely fantastic, yet would require specialized rooms with state-of-the-art treatment. Definitely not in my means, that is for sure!

Well ,they only sound as good as your hearing. Which we all know diminishes with age ,like it or not.

Seems excessive to me but if someone enjoys it, good for them! The more affordable Lampi DACs are really good, almost purchased one several times over the years and might still do so at some point.
