LA Rock station casualty

pratorius- that station has a nice eclectic mix. Their signal isnt very strong in my area-Long Beach. 

I could probably dial it in if I had a proper rooftop antenna w/ rotator at home. In the car, it's rare to get a since strong signal.
Not often I get a clean signal in the car.

In Los Angeles tune into 88.5 KCSN. They have an app if you are outside the area.

tonykay-at home,the tuning dial doesn't move much on my 66' Mac MR71. Only 3 NR stations-news,Jazz and Classical.

I don't bother with the rock stations at home. The rock stations sound too "processed" compared to NPR broadcasts.

Do you have XM at home? I've never heard it through a home system. I'm guessing it will have a similar "processed" sound.

Our Classical station broadcast is quite good. At least in my system, it's close enough to CD quality.  

Even if Taylor asks President it ain't enough LOL!

I heard that my old favorite local FM rock station (KFOG) changed to programmed music (DJ-free) some time ago. Fortunately, I switched to XM Radio a long time ago. XM is the best $12.99 (monthly) that I have ever spent. I could never go back to FM radio. It’s sad, because I have always wanted a McIntosh MR78. Unfortunately, it would only gather dust on my shelf.

1 Rock station in my area as well. Agreed on bad NPR news.

There are 2 Rock stations in my area and I listen to one or the other daily. We already lost an alt  rock station in my area and I hope the others don’t go the same way.

LOL... do you really thing that Taylor Swift has to ask President Trump if her song can be played on the radio?

While I do agree to some extent with you on other government involvement matters, I don't think our government would spend the time and effort on this.

That's a bummer.  It's one of my fav FM stations.

these days gone deep into past. now in order to hear song on the radio it's gotta be approved by goverment controlling all the media. only pop song would have budget to go through. that's one of ways to kill and bury first amendment.
Same thingie happens with movies as well. 

That’s bad news for listeners and the radio biz, and it’s happening everywhere. Here in Philly, there’s only one Rock station left. I listen to NPR Classical, but still like to hear some rock classics in the car.

Now we have many Christian stations, Right-Wing talk radio, and 3 or 4 sports call-in stations. But there still is college radio. 
It’s no surprise that FM is dead, we’ve been expecting it to happen.
