Kubala-Sosna Imagination?

Try it if there’s a return policy. If it’s TMR you’re talking about, you should be covered. Could be good cables. Search the internet and the forums here for reviews 

Thanks. It is TMR and I trust them. I've found many positive comments here about the higher-end K-S cables, but not the Imagination. 

Kubala Sosna cables are good , but the question is will it match your system? The only way to know is try it.

Thanks, @jayctoy. I get it. I'm really interested in whether the Imagination specifically is on par with the Kubala Sosna line. Eg, in my limited experience, some of the less expensive cables from high-end brands (eg Cardas) rely on the name more than the quality of the cable. So I'm really wondering if the Imagination is a good place to start with Kubala Sosna, a way to get a taste of their cables.

@northman agreed… bottom of the line in most cases is not an indication of what the higher end models are capable off. It’s worth a shot though as you never know. 
The alternative would be to use most of your credit towards a higher end speaker cable as that’s going to make most difference in my opinion. You can get the interconnects later. In either case you’re down shipping cost if it doesn’t work out. Work with TMR on the price as well. They’ve been flexible so far. 

Thanks, @audphile1, and I certainly agree about TMR. I don't really *need* new interconnects, I just have a modest credit and want to do something with it. I suppose I could leave it in the TMR bank for now?! That would show a restraint that I don't generally have....

There aren’t any reviews of the Imagination that I could find, and I’m not sure I’d expect much from a bottom-tier interconnect at $300 MSRP (and that’s with dealer markup!) even if it is from K-S as it incorporates very little if any of the materials/geometry that make their upper-tier offerings so desirable.  I’d skew more toward a very good used interconnect like this Acoustic Zen Matrix Ref ll that you can get for $300 but currently retails for $920 at The Cable Company.  And if it doesn’t work out you can likely sell it for little/no loss.  At the very least there are reviews and it’s at least a known quantity instead of a total crapshoot.  Just my $0.02 FWIW, and best of luck.

Thanks, @soix. That makes complete sense. I couldn't find any reviews either and I can see that it's a different technology than their upper-level cables. I'm sure I can put my credit to use at some point ... soon!
