Kenwood

I have a Kenwood KR 6200 that sounds great but no lights.  Is there any fuse? or what would keep the lights from coming on.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I sold Kenwood for many years, the bulbs are burnt out as LED lighting had not been invented yet.

It’s just the bulbs. I think you can get the bulbs replaced but it may also be possible to get an LED strip as a backlight, depends on how good your tech is.

My memory is that those bulbs took a considerable amount of current and therefore produced some heat.  Changing over could also save the condition of the meters/panel they light, as less heat to damage the colors over time.

It was a fuse.  That got the face plate lights working but the meter lights don't work.  I tried new bulbs but apparently there is no power to them .  Any ideas on those.  Very strange they must be on a separate circuit

Thanks for your suggestions.  Got it working the meter lights only come on when it is on AM / FM.
