I always say with streamers start with something inexpensive to see how you like the format.  I used to recommend just plugging the PC into the DAC but the Wiim has changed that .  I added the Wiim Pro to a 5.1 system for $100 and it’s very good and the app is successful.  It only does standard resolution 16/44 but 95% of what I listen to sounds fine.  Another $100 would get higher resolution with their more refined models.

If streaming works for you and you want to move up in price that’s easy; it’s just more painful to spend lots of resources initially and then find out streaming for whatever reason doesn’t float your boat.  And even if it does, the Wiim might be all you ever need

so if you can stretch just a few more dollars I recently changed a mini to the ultra https://wiimhome.com/wiimultra/overview for my sister’s system. She was very impressed with the upgrade said she was able to listen with much less fatigue.
it is of my opinion that was such a nice preamp a Innuos would be a much better choice.https://innuos.com/pulse/

Set up on either choice are extremely easy, even the most Luddite of a person Can handle it.

Your Krell has digital inputs so you can use a streamer to send a digital signal to it and let the internal DACs do the rest.  Conversely, you can also let the streamer send an analog input to your Krell.

I haven't heard the Wiim but I know it gets lots of love here.  I've had a Lumin streamer (no analog outputs, digital only) for many years and have been very happy with it.

Pick a streamer, connect it to your Krell, get it on your local network, download the app that goes with your streamer and away you go.  It's pretty simple.
