I recently saw & heard I'm With Her on one of the late night talk shows, and liked what I heard. Liked what I saw, too ;-).
I'm With Her "See You Around" new album
I’m With Her is a female folk trio comprised of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O'Donovan. Sara is one-third of Nickle Creek, Aoife is from Crooked Still and Sarah is well, just Sarah.

This trio makes incredible music. With a pedigree like above, how could they go wrong?
"See You Around" is a fantastic album.
Highly recommended!
(If any of you are in the Denver area, I'm With Her will be doing an in-store appearance at Twist & Shout this Friday (04/13/18) at 6PM. Their show at the L2 Church is already sold out, along with numerous other shows).

Long time fan of all three of these girls going back to the very beginning of each of their careers.....this was a highly anticipated album for me. They are great together and perhaps even better individually. Aoife O’Donovan has one of the greatest voices I’ve ever heard. Although it is a good album, given the level of talent here, I was hoping/expecting something much better. Frankly I was a little disappointed with the content and sonics on this album. I’d have preferred a more traditional take on the music which is where they really shine. The vocals are to very forward in the mix...a common theme on Sarah Jarosz and Aoife’s solo albums too. Unfortunate. I sure hope to get a great album out of Aoife O’Donovan at some point as she has a voice and expressiveness for the ages. |
