I found a way to get around tariffs that will raise the price of audio equipment. What is your solution?

Yes I am serious and this will work. Much talk has been created about sitting down and enjoying the music... finally. Even more discussions about the ever ending quest for better gear vs just enjoying the gear you now own.

So that's what I will do. I am not buying new gear. I will enjoy the music now.

How will you avoid the higher costs of audio gear associated with tariffs?

New or used gear?

I say again….

I was throwing a big hint to my fellow audiophiles out there. Maybe, just maybe you might avoid the temptation to collect more audio equipment. Have a chair, grab a drink and listen to the music. Reap the benefits of your choices and experience and enjoy the listening experience again. If you were ever waiting for a time to pause your spending and enjoy what you have now, this is the time.

I have written these three words before, “pain and suffering”. I think to a higher or lesser degree we will all experience this. For myself I know I can mitigate this by being content with my gear, my house , my family and my own peace away from the madness. We are here now. It does not matter who you voted for, this is the situation you find yourself in. I feel bad for farmers and their families and many others caught in the net. For the music listening experience I can find some peace…for now. I had mentioned before that in the 80’s while a young American serviceman I was asked by some German friends why Americans are so ignorant about world affairs, their own history and the political landscape and I was naive and offended by these questions. Now all these years later I realize they were right. Americans are not engaged and that’s why they get led around like dumb sheep. Germans learned the hard way that if they don’t pay attention a madman will take over.

Let’s think about this for a moment. One of the pro Trump arguments is to bring manufacturing back to America. Just like back in the 40s, 50s or 60s. Lots of people working factory jobs, lots of people with paychecks….. right? Well nowadays these new factories have robotics and automation. Why? Because the businesses who own these companies have to be competitive when selling cars or widgets, therefore they cut back on employees and benefits. Right? So even if America could build 10,000 factories overnight, your neighbors and cousins would not get the new jobs, robots would. Therefore the idea of going back in time… is pointless.

Nuclear is an interesting energy alternative. Bill Gates has been talking about how safe it can be done now. Not sure you would get the same excitement from the surviving family members of the Chernobyl area. I remember when Elon Musk had been talking up the Cyber Truck and he mentioned how safe it is. Now we found out it is one of the most unsafe trucks on the road. It’s really no surprise I don’t always just what billionaires tell me.

Green energy is in part a solution for climate change. But perhaps there is no climate change? Just a conspiracy against rich people making money in oil? Do your research. The real reason DT wants Canada and Greenland is he wants to STEAL the lithium and oil in the ground. Canada and Greenland don’t want to mine those resources. They have that right, SINCE Denkmark and Canada are a SOVEREIGN NATION. What did DT say he would do on day one of his idiotic presidency? “Drill, drill, drill.”

Well I live in America and I am discussing fossil fuels because my president and his bone headed administration is fascinated and obsessed with it. Maybe someone should research this. Find a clean energy that is viable and doable, sure I am all in. But if you think politics and powerful people invested in fossil fuels would not do everything to stop it because of money and politics ….you’re naive. DT doesn’t believe that climate change is anything to worry about, there he wants to drill….everywhere.
