how do you compare the hegel h80 to rogue sphinx v2???


I have a h80 and am waiting for a rogue


should I keep or sell the h80???

Give them both a listen and let us know. They should be pretty different sounding so it maybe a matter if you want the tube or ss sound. 
Keep the Hegel. Rogue Class D amps have no low end, especially at low volume. 
I don't see this as much of a step up at all.  What motivated the change?  Are you locked in?  Or?  What were you trying to achieve?  Although they will have different presentations, they're both great-bang-for-the-buck products, but hardly the last word in sophistication or subtlety.

I'm saying the Rogue hybrid amps (Sphinx and Pharaoh) struggle with the lowest octaves. It's as though they have a sharp roll-off under ~40 Hz. I don't know if it has to do with their class D topology, but I haven't experienced this issue with any class AB amps. 


i have a small pair of quad 22L so the speaker cannot produce good bass

below 40hz   and

I want to try a different sound as i may not sell the hegel h80


Spend another $1K and get the new down to earth price, fine, McIntosh MA 252 integrated.I did with no regrets.
