Have you reached your end point with this addictive hobby?

I wonder if out there somewhere there’s a support group called Audiophile Anonymous 😂 that addresses Audiophiles constant need for perfection. For my self I would probably benefit from a couple of these group sessions. Putting humor aside there’s some truth to this hobby being addictive and at some point there has to be an end point where you are there and the need to upgrade serves no useful purpose. I can’t say I’m 100% there yet, but something inside me tells me I’m getting close to hitting rock bottom and when I do maybe I’ll see the light, or maybe not 😂!

For audiophiles here the costs, tariffs, fees for parts in our audio gear is going to go up, way up. Some of us, who have the means can absorb the extra cost, many cannot. In many cases it will drive up the cost of used gear, but that will still be affordable for those on a budget. For me, I have always been on a tight budget, therefore I will not be buying anything new, and few things (if any) used.

Will be interesting to see much the price of admission has changed from moderate to super high end equipment when I get to Chicago later today for Axpona. With the economy and other factors affecting luxury items sales I just don’t see why companies keep pushing the need to build more expensive equipment.” Is there even an end point for them too”?

Yes it's a sickness....lol...spending and spending more and more. I'M glad I don't  have thousands and thousands to spend .Because if i did I would...over and over agai....HELP....

I think I've reached the end point at least a dozen times. Ever time I think "this is it" an itch to try something different develops. It's an illness, but a fun one at that!
