Have you given Audio/Stereo equipment as gifts?

Perhaps it is the season, but I started thinking of audio related gifts I have given in the past..  I have given gifts of good to SOTA items to my two sons, my Mother, my two best friends and a few girlfriends/mates.  Many of those are still in use.  In thinking of other things, watches, clothes, vehicles...etc. it seems that gifts of audio gear may have been some of the most used and most appreciated......and, the most fun to give?

Thanks.  I have wondered, since high end audio is part of my life, does that mean that a Ferrari collector gives Ferraris as gifts?...if so, I need to become friends with that person.

Years ago I gave my brother-in-law my Dahlquist DQ10s. I also gave my nephew a Denon DP-60 turntable. And I have given a Luxman tuner to a co-worker. I also gave a Nakamichi 600 cassette deck to my friend. A Crown power amp to my nephew. And over the years a few cartridges, tubes and a few cables to friends and family. There is most likely more but I just can’t remember!!
Been doing this for over 50 years and have bought a lot of  gear..
Never sold anything . When I run into young couples who are interested
in Classical music but are short on cash, I give them a decent system
with a hundred CD's of the best  Classical music .
Have done it  6 times so far.
When I was in college, having no car I walked maybe two miles to an electronics store having a 24 hour sale. It was late, I think after midnight, when the Technics turntable/cartridge that I wanted to give them for Christmas was on sale, and I carried it back to the dorm in preparation to give it as a Christmas gift for our home. My father loved organ music, especially E Power Biggs, and it was a pleasure to see him relish it with his albums.
