The Freya+ is amazing for its price. I got one for burning in equipment. Really a great deal. Will not compare favorably with a $5K preamp, or a $10k preamp… etc. but outstanding for the money. Great deal for the money!
Freya+ Owners - Help Needed
I'm considering this preamp. What preamps (SS or tube) have you compared it against and what was the outcome? Also, how responsive is this to tube rolling. I'm trying to determine after exhaustive internet searching whether this preamp is "OK", competitive at its price or really good, period. Thanks.

I needed a preamp for my bedroom system that was going to be used with the RAAL SR1a headphones. I have 3 preamps in the house. - Topping pre90 (sold it a few minutes ago) - Benchmark LA4 - CODA 07x The CODA was the only one that could tame the hot sounding SR1a. That is until I got the Freya+ last week. I am using it with my Benchmark AHB2 amp and I love the sound. It was only the CODA 07x that could work with the AHB2 and SR1a. I am happy with the outcome. The Freya+ will only get better with more break-in. It is not as good as the CODA 07x. The Freya+ seems very quiet but not as clear as the LA4. I just sold a bunch if gear because the Freya+ allowed me to get the AHB2 to work My fallback preamp for the bedroom, if the Freya+ did not work was this used CODA CP. My CODA dealer said it is similar to the 07x Never Used CODA Continuum CP Preamp W Phono Stage - price reduced For Sale - US Audio Mart
