For Ry Cooder and John Hiatt Fans

Paris, France, 1980. Maybe some of you have seen this. I just discovered it, today:

I've never seen him live, to my regret. One of my all time favorite musicians, though. I think my favorite group of his was the one on teh album Showtime.

In case you haven't seen this:

@stuartk I have watched that concert several times.  I like that it was well recorded in good definition.   Thanks.

I've caught John Hiatt several times (solo, combo, Lyle Lovett, Sonny Landreth), and was lucky enough to catch Ry once while touring with Ricky Scaggs. Both are American treasures.

Huge Ry Cooder fan as well as John Hiatt and you know when you see that he had a hand in a project it's very often something very special. BTW, the other artist I am thinking of that fit that slot are Leon Russell, T. Bone Burnett and Allan Toussaint. Enjoy the music

@bigtwin

Glad you enjoyed it. You tube has some awful dreck but also many treasures.
Here's another from British TV:

I’ve seen him just once, as a solo act at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. Great musician and as it turned out, a great entertainer. A thoroughly enjoyable show, on all levels.
