Huge Ry Cooder fan as well as John Hiatt and you know when you see that he had a hand in a project it's very often something very special. BTW, the other artist I am thinking of that fit that slot are Leon Russell, T. Bone Burnett and Allan Toussaint. Enjoy the music

@stuartk yes I have heard it, bought it when it first came out on vinyl and included a CD version that stays in my truck. The vinyl is wonderfully done as is the CD and the sound quality is a 10. Don’t overlook his second album from 1970, From a whisper to a scream w/Mac Rebennack and also The River in Reverse, with Elvis Costello and the Crescent City Horns with one of my favorite AT songs, All These Things, which my date and I danced cheek to cheek to @ Pauls Lounge in Jenerette La. with AT and his band playing at my Senior prom in 1970. Thanks for stirring up these memories. Enjoy the music |
