Thanks for posting.  Been a huge Ry fan since I first heard him in the mid 70's.  I've only had one chance to see him live and that was at the Edmonton Folk Festival when he was touring as the guitarist for Ali Farka Toure.  Mr. Cooder just stayed in the background and played a lot of slide guitar, amongst other things.  Interesting performance.  Cheers.

@stuartk I have watched that concert several times.  I like that it was well recorded in good definition.   Thanks.

@stuartk  The Old Grey Whistle Test was such a great program.  Soooooo many performances I've loved over the years.

I got to see Emmylou Harris back in the 80's at the University of Alberta.  The Myer Horowitz Theater to be exact.  683 seats.  What I remember about her show was the configuration of the stage.  All the musicians  were set up in a straight line.  Emmylou in the middle and the drums on one end.  It struck me she was saying everyone is equal in this performance.  Great show.  I've seen many fabulous shows at that venue over the years.  From Johnny Winter to David Grisman.  The most recent was Dweezil Zappa performing the entire Hot Rats LP.  Saw his father a few times.  Always fun.  Cheers.
