Are you using digital coax cable? If so try a different digital coax cable that is at least 1.5 meter long. http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?htech&1444270980&&&/DAC-drops-out-when-Furnace-starts-or-sto . |
I had a similar problem. A compact fluorescent bulb in my dining room caused a hum in my preamp. The dining room is on the other side of the house. It never happened before I upgraded to a Furman Elite 15 PFi power conditioner. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. At first it was just an intermittent hum in my preamp. I could not figure out what was causing it until one day when my wife turned the lights on in the dining room while I was listening. I asked her what she just did and that is how I figured it out. There are no dimmers in the house. It never happened with any of my previous power conditioners. And it has not happened with my Shunyata Triton. Just with the Furman Elite 15 PFi. The Shunyata seems really good at isolating noise from the system. |
