Don’t look for perfection.

A disc that seems sonically defective in some way may have many redeeming features to satisfy you. I have a tendency to immediately dismiss a record if I hear a flaw, but upon further listening discover other sonic niceties that get me into the music.

That is great. I’m thinking it may depend somewhat on one’s personality.

I have to admit that as technology has improved and flaws become less common… CD playback sound quality improved, streaming happened and the sound quality equaled and exceeded vinyl I am less tolerant. There is so much music I will never get to.

There are those which are salvageable.
If I only kept the perfect ones I’d soon run out of records.

Your standards are higher than mine.  I respect you for that.

Curious, what else in your life do you immediately dismiss when you find a flaw?
