Delrin platter with Mat

Because delrin mates to vinyl better than most mats do. Trust your ears.

What fuzztone said, but i can add that i slightly preferred the addition of achromat to plain acrylic plater when i had a Pink Triangle turntable.

I considered a vinyl mat for my TT. On the advise of Ralph at Atma-Sphere, I bought an acrylic mat from Oracle Audio for $185.
It improved my system dramatically. Highly recommended.

It is a flexible vinyl (damps the entire platter), 1mm thick material with inverted dimples designed to decouple from a mechanical bearing.

I have used my Achromat on my Rock 7 (plastic platter) and it is an improvement but it wants to slide. To prevent that you need to use the felt discs that come with it. I use a MyMat underneath.
