DAC Recommendations In 4k Range Used

I would save up for the  T+A DAC 200. Fortunately it is a DAC and preamp. Whilw]e technically you may not need one…. You need one. The T&A is a good one.

Merason DAC 1 Converter Can be upgraded to Merason DAC mk2
Price is over 4000$ .

I do not know , what ´´ Converter ´´ means though.

Denafrips Terminator or Holo May, but T+A DAC 200 and Lampizator Baltic 4 (tube) both sonics punch significantly above their price points. 

Take a look at the Bricasti M3 it has a retail of 7k but can be found for 4k used. It's musical, clean sounding, full bodied with great detail and non fatiguing.
