I have the Int-250 which I use to power Wilson Sasha 2's and before them Maggie 3.7's...I am quite happy with my sound now and what they did for the Mag. I have had them about 9 years without a problem. They can go quite loud if you need them to but clean and the sound never sounds stressed.
Can't say that I have been able to compare them in my system with others but I am not looking to change them. So I can't tell you how they sound compared to others but I am a happy camper (owner...)
I have the Int-25 and find it to be a very smooth, never etched, but gives the right amount of bite when called upon (like Miles' muted trumpet). I've also had conversations with the folks at Pass labs regarding the sonic differences between the Int-250 and the Int-25. They agree that the midrange beauty of the Int-25 is special. However, the bigger amps are more extended on top and bottom. Tradeoffs.
One of my friends recently replaced most of his system and now has the INT60 with Joseph Audio PULSAR2 Graphene speakers. He has a very well treated room and it's one of the best systems I've heard. The INT60 had so much control over the speakers and the imaging and dynamics were excellent.
The 25 and 60 are both excellent amplifiers and Pass's build quality is right up there with the very best. The sound is extremely musical and refined timbrally. They are not the last word in "slam" but are hard to beat in their price range in other respects.
His newest FirstWatt, the F8 power amplifier, is excellent. Paired with a Van Alstine Transcendence RB 10 tube preamp, the sound is realistic without calling attention to itself ("see how vividly there I am?!"). Of course, your speakers must be compatible with the power amp.
I don't have an integrated but have the 250.8 with xp 10 which I think we're combined into the integrated the sound is spellbinding, smooth throughout.
