Cary SLI-80 or Unison Research Simply Italy??

I am looking to buy a tube integrated amplifier and looking for some guidance. I mostly listen to CD/Vinyl Jazz and Classic. I live in a small apartment and have efficient bookshelf speakers (92). I listened a Simply Italy at a dealer and loved the warmth, stage and details. Its price is 2.500 and I was going to buy it right away but then I saw in Audiogon the Cary SLI-80 as a clean second hand for 1.750. I did not use any Cary product yet and did not listened to one either but seemed like a good deal. Before I make up my mind, I wanted to hear your opinions. Thanks for advice!

Check out this option. I own Mystere equipment. I think they smoke Cary for the money. Just my $0.02 worth.

I second the thought that you should buy what you have heard and know you like. I like Cary, I own a pre amp of theirs, but each model of amp or in your case integrated, within a brand, sounds differently IMO. You are fortunate that you have heard what appeals to you, I wouldn't hesitate.
Unlikely you'll find anyone who has experience with both amps and you've received good advice so far. Finding something that really excites you when you hear it is the best possible reason to buy something.

Having said that, I have a Cary Sli-80 F1 and couldn't be happier. Great build quality and aesthetics, easy to bias and can handle a wide range of tubes that let you tailor the sound to what appeals to you.

Go with your heart, this isn't an intellectual exercise.
