Buy or stay with?

I'm playing 2 Yamaha m40 amplifiers I have cerwin xls28  4 of them . I was thinking about buying newer amps like bryston 4bst amp Yamaha MX 800 it seems that these speakers are asking for straight power if my amps are not tuned up the woofers don't move what should I do or any ideas

Well, CV went out with my high school years (more than 50 ago); silk purse out of a sow's ear, if you think you're going to fix their shortcomings.

It looks like those speakers can’t do what you want by looking at the spec sheet. If you like the CV sound, but want more umph, getting a good sub or 2 would be one way. It seems that SVS has some good performance bargains available that can do what you need.

Or, finding a couple pairs of older, but good condition CV’s with the 15 woofers in them and use those, instead.

If neither one of those options sound good, I'd look into adding an EQ to the system to boost the upper bass region to get more kick.  Schiit Audio makes a couple that might work well for you:

Well my teen years are 80s. My music is a range of I played vs series as I said 35 years .  Any way . is three way with built-in crossover the same as put in jumpers on a bi speaker or there different.new to these set ups ty everyone

Stay in the family because you like them so much.  Buy two CVs with the 15" woofers and a electronic external x-over plus a  powerful 2 channel PA amp. Bypass the x-over in the cabinet and connect the 15s directly to the amp.

Those things will break your windows...your welcome.
