Would highly recommend the iFi Zen Phono with the iPowerx power supply - around $250 total, and a very refined phono stage for the price. The Schitt Mani is also a great phono stage for around $150, especially for MM.  I have experience with both, and they beat out some much more expensive phono stages in my system.

Cheers, Scott
Also take a look to Lehmann audio black cube. Has a separate unit for power supply. Amazing quality and very quite. I am using it for almost 4 years. no complain.

All the best
The Mani is an excellent budget ($130) phonostage. The linear power supply could be added later.
I had a Schiit Mani for a couple of years and loved it. I got a Swagman Labs LPS for it a it really sang. I would not hesitate to recommend the Mani with a LPS.
Although I haven't heard the Puffin, I would be wary of it because it converts the signal to digital and then runs it through a DAC for the output.  That's the last thing I want in a phono stage.  Just my opinion, of course.
Just buy a used Realistic 42-2101.You can get one of them for around $50 and they sound very good. They are a classic simple fully discrete design and will compete with modern units in the $1000 plus range.
