BAT VK51 SE

Hello, I own a BAT VK51 SE preamplifier and I can’t believe that it has caused me so much expense and dissolution considering that with 17db of gain I have to turn up the volume so much. Well, to convince myself that something was wrong with my pass labs x150 stage, I bought a BAT vk 150 stage and you have to go higher and higher, always being half or more. My question will it have some bridge for the gain or will it be the 140 steps of the volume. Cheers
