Aurender ap 20

I am going to purchase this unit. I recognize that separates are preferable, however I am space challenged, with that predicate established, would I obtain significant improvement from a standalone streamer? This is a secondary system, streaming will be primarily source, needs  to be very good, not reference

we  would agree that streamers can  make a very audible difference and in our opinion thea20 is too expensive for a product that cant be upgraded, or improved upon as technology continues to evolve., so we would pass on it

We did a shootout of our 432EVO Aeon vs the aurender n20 our Aeon server sounded better, and also comes with a built in cd ripper, as well as a modular and upgradable platform and is a full Roon core as well.

I recently heard of the Axxess Forte from Audio Group Denmark (Aavik, Borresen) that may be all you need for a second system at half the price or less than the AP20 and may be worth a look.  Best of luck.
