Audioquest Diamondback for Turntable maybe?

Hello there.

Now, realize that you're talking to a guy whose system is wired up with CAT5 cable, Belden telephone cable, and fire alarm wire.  The latter two of which, by the way, constructionwise and materialwise, resemble hi-fi cables that I couldn't afford to buy.
But the other day I took leave of my senses and bought a second-hand meter of AudioQuest Diamondback, mostly because the construction was pretty much how I would make a cable if I made cable.
I was thinking of using it to replace the Monster Cable that a previous owner hung onto my turntable.  I realize that I'm in front of a group that probably thinks I should sell my car to buy cables, but is there any real technical reason that the Diamondback would be inappropriate for a turntable, excessive capacitance, anything like that?
Thank you kindly.

Well, I'd have to rip the turntable apart and drill large holes in it for jacks, and I'd have to find credible jacks, and then I'd have to worry about the wire going from the terminal strip to the jacks inside.  It would be nice if I knew it would be a disaster beforehand.

What kind of turntable do you have? There are boxes for this purpose - the Cardas is a nice one and is usually pretty easy to install.
