Any high end preamps out there where tubes off while HT in use?

Seen many lower end preamps that leave tubes off while in ht bypass mode. Anybody aware of higher end preamps like arc Ref 6se (which sadly leave tubes on) where tubes are off while watching tv or movie?

Wait an hour for tubes to sound good? Seems absolutely horrifying and super inconvenient, and this is ok to audiophile community?

Why would anyone want this?? You'd have to wait an hour or so for the preamp to sound right if you wanted to use the 2-channel.

I think ht connect to stereo is an issue that’s overdone. It can be done quite well.

why sooo afraid?

Do many amps offer an input selector?  Even better if done with a remote. Makes all the upstream ht bypass issues a lot easier to deal with, ie by not having a need to do anything.

my guess is the connector complexity may no be good for SQ.

I use my Bryston amp for HT pass through. RCA to my Luxman tube preamp and balanced to my Krell Showcase surround processor. Just flip the switch on the amp.

Cary seems like a nice pre and only about $3k. Been around for awhile and not chronically upgraded.  Not sure what to make of price being so cheap?  Does it stack up well to arc or other high ends?

Not sure, but I think Rogue, Backert, and maybe VAC might have that feature.
