any experience with Esoteric SACD/CD players reliability?

thinking of purchasing.

I purchased an Esoteric UX3 SACD player in July of 2012. It was built in 2008 but was a static display model Esoteric used at a few trade shows. The box was labled exhibition stock. I love the player and it will be my last player. The thing weighs 65 pounds, it uses Esoterics best transport, the VRDS NEO transport and the sound is perfect for my Rock CD’s. The drawer opens so smooth, you can barely hear it open and everything works perfectly. Esoteric is one of the few companys that builds their own transports. IMHO, you can’t go wrong
I have the KO 3x disc player and the CO 3x preamp for several years now. Purchased new never had a problem...love them
That Transport in that CD player is a winner IMO Teac Did an amazing job building that one. they sold many VRDS systems to OEM's so a lot of top CD players have them. I had a VRDS 20 years ago and a friend still has it playing after nearly 20 years. If you have to stick with a CD spinner (I would go the NAS-Storage system way but to each his own) VRDS is a good one. Just remember repairs down the road could be difficult if Teac didn't make enough for replacement parts as the moving stuff tends to go bad first. But all in all from what I've seen they are build very well and the early ones lasted ( i know 2 people who have the early ones)
I currently have a wonderful sounding SACD player on USAM and Philadelphia CL.  Its a Sony DVP-S9000 ES SACD player and originally sold for $1500.  Built like a tand and sounds wonderful!
