Given your equipment and what you are trying to achieve sonically, a pair of Vandersteen's would be a better choice. The only exception would be if you like to listen to really loud music. If that's the case, the Aerial will play louder.
Aerial 7T vs. Marten Django L
I have read some glowing reports and professional reviewers on the smaller Marten Django( L )and Aerial 7T. I Looking for thoughts from those who have heard both and why you would choose one over the other. The price is the same;~10 k $, therefore is not a consideration. About, this is my budget.
I have been a happy Avalon Ascendant N owner for a few years, but I am getting the upgrade again. I am enjoing the sound, only thing I don't like about them, this is slightly “relaxed”, too polite presentation and lack in weight bass, maybe for rock they are not the best.
I want to more airy, better low end extension, and slightly faster, open sound.
My amp is the Ayre vx5e with the Ayre kx5e pre amp. My room is 16'x10' with 9' ceilings. I listen to all types of Music, primarily indie rock, progressiv rock, and jazz.
I'm interested to hear how the two models compare in performance terms (ideally side by side in the same room and system), particularly in reference to musical experience, subtlety, imaging/sound stage, detail retrieval and dinamics.
Thanks in advance
