Where in line should I insert these devices (before or after the DBX 3BX DS)? I’m sure some people will cringe with this ... My thought is to put the noise reduction devices before the DBX unit.If you must, I would try it either way. It’s possible that the DBX’s increased DR might make it easier for the SAE or Burwen to detect the pops. The Burwen has an input sensitivity control, IIRC.
