A'gon joke...

One of a dozen recently minted bots walks into a forum and posts a message about point source speakers.

I comment about point source kits with a link.

In my observation, moderation is becoming more heavy handed in many forums.

I can understand why, since so many threads seem to devolve into the same flame wars of "Can you tell the difference in a double blind study" vs. "your system/ears not resolving enough."

That said, it’s not as fun as it used to be. The Roon forum, for example, has a bit of feel of being in military school now. If only people could behave...

Some forums have even split apart into their own echo chamber subgroups. A while ago AutiophileStyle put up a set of forum topics for discussion of cables, fuses, digital reclockers, where "that’s snake oil" responses are not allowed.

Maybe Audiogon needs some designated "safe spaces" - threads where flaming and disagreement are not allowed, only discussion of *whatever* and then other threads where it’s a cage match, and it’s all allowed.
