Broke and still not happy
What's up with "High end is who you are"? Yeah I read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" once.BTW not all Cardas power cords are good; I bought one that was terrible with my power amp -- the hexlink I think. The Cardas Golden power cord w...

Broke and still not happy
Get rid of the active preamp and get a passive. Experiment with cables, try some Cardas Golden Cross and Cardas Golden power cords. Amps like Mark Levinson would make it worse..Try out an amp like Rogue 88 or Air Tight...I myself have walked into ...

I had a Rega P3 for 17 years and never lubricated it with anything and never had a problem or never became aware of something different; I have had my P9 for 2 or so years, how do you know they need re-lubrication?

Jazz CD suggestions for evening ambience

soundstage
I have a bunch of speakers, I'd have to say you're not going to get a whole lot of spacial revelation with a big horn loaded speaker anyway.. I don't with mine. Plus I have to be listening absolutely on-axis down the throats of the horns for the b...
Distance from the speakers to the seating position
Depends on speaker.. some larger speakers must be heard far enough away for drivers to blend properly. I have to sit perhaps 15 feet away from my JBL L-200's. With my Chario Academy 1's I can sit only 6' away and the sound seems to be best even th...
Live infectious funk jams....quality recordings

King Crimson I think had the most extensive tree
Which is better Nautilus VS Classic Records "CSN"
I have some other Classic Records pressings (Stephen Stills Manassas, David Crosby If only I could remember my name) and the Nautilus pressing of CSN's 1st album, I have not compared but would bet the Nautilus is better. There is something very sw...
best non guitar rock solo
Keith Emerson's piano solo and synthesizer "steel pan" solo on Karn Evil 9 part TWO. Rick Wakeman's organ solo about 2/3 into Close to the Edge
