Cat damaged speaker, Help
I would like to address the "thousands of Vets, NATIONWIDE, that perform the operation daily":...you should be ashamed of yourselves as you are a disgrace to your profession.
Cat damaged speaker, Help
I guess I'm wrong about the douchebags who declaw cats...I stand corrected.
Cat damaged speaker, Help
Adam18 has "personally seen the results of demented people who have actually "barbecued" their cats and dogs". Really?..where do you live? Wow...also, your dogs are now puppies? Now THAT'S strange...I think the insane act of "declawing" cats is il...
Saw Steely Dan
I've seen 'em live a couple of times...it is SO cool to hear that stuff loud. I'm really glad they still get out there and tour as they always have the best people in their band.
Squeezebox touch sounds better than benchmark dac1
I use a 'Touch into a Dacmagic using the coax plugs. Amazingly great sounding in my system, much better than the 'Touch alone...and the Dacmagic was around $300 used.
Have you treated your listening space?
Another idea is coat your ears and face with foam insulation.
Do you understand your amplifier?
"it is impossible to know the sound of an amplifier or any other component in the absolute sense. this statement can be proven mathematically"...huh?...if this can be proved mathematically I'm staying home that day.Having an understanding of the b...
Cat damaged speaker, Help
I sold a pair of Vandersteens many years ago after getting the "cat abused" grills replaced (by Vandersteen). Now THAT was a cat friendly speaker including the little "cat trampoline" on the top. I couldn't take having them ripped up again so I mo...
Do you understand your amplifier?
Ignorance is bliss (sometimes). "Rockitman" has a point...why should I waste valuable nap time learning modern amp technology when other well trained geniuses are working on these things for me? I'm a musician...I need to practice. Read enough rev...
Have you treated your listening space?
Damn...anechoic it is! Also, I tried to speak to Jeff Hedback once and his voice was so muffled with so little siblance or bass impact I couldn't understand a thing.
Have you treated your listening space?
Treatment schmeatment. El redundo amundo. Case by case I say, and I think bass traps should look like faux marble Roman columns...right? And it's "anachoic" not "anecolic" which actually (if spelled correctly) is the art of soundproofing a grumpy ...
What is Warmth?
My opinions provide me with warmth.
Have you treated your listening space?
Note that many respected gear reviewers don't "treat" their rooms with anything beyond furniture, rugs, and bookcases, although they go to great lengths to tweek things like speaker placement and isolation of components...maybe this is because the...
What is Warmth?
Well designed solid state gear can indeed have "warmth", and often more accuracy...If something is on a recording I don't want it masked by euphonic distortion or anything else. I've heard amazing low powered "SE" tube amps that sound amazingly ac...
Have you treated your listening space?
In the 70's I covered a small basement room with mattresses so my band could rehearse without bothering neighbors. It worked very well, so duct taping doll house mattresses to my head just seems like an obvious sound absorbtion solution. That bad ...
