New streamer evank, Yes, it's easiest to use Tidal connect. In the Lumin app utilities options, set Tidal connect to on. From the Tidal app choose U2 mini as player.

New streamer I have both the Node n130 with LPS and the U2 mini. After the intuitive simplicity BluOS, the Lumin app was very frustrating. You may hate it at first. I know I did. With familiarity I find it great. Powerful and solid. No regrets.
Audio Mirror WAVE tube based line-stage is one of StereoTimes 2023 Most wanted Components I have his DAC 4 Tubadour and no complaints. Klunky stock looks (eye candy factor in reverse) so I installed new knobs and it looks pretty good (see the knobs I installed under my "system" page). The WAVE may be worth every penny by sound and va...
New Phono Cart with Character Needed My Apheta 2 / RP-10 combo was dry as well. I tried a DV XX2/2 and a Soundsmith Zephy and neither sounded special on this table. Then a Goldring 1042. It needed a 2 mm (arm base) shim and careful alignment. Crosstalk checked to within 10% it sings ...
Are luxman integrated amps truly balanced? @mspot Thanks for the link. I stand corrected. I now see the difference between xlr cable compatible components and truly balanced AES48 compliant ones. Apologies to @paqua123
Are luxman integrated amps truly balanced? When i use the XLR connection from the DAC to AMP its 6DB louder than SE. Was my first clue that the Luxman wasnt truly balanced. XLR carries a hot signal on one conductor and an inverted hot signal on another conductor. A diff amp compares ...
Audio Research SP9 family It's been a while since I owned both the MK 2 and Mk 3. The 3 had gold plated socket pins and I believe both the 2 and 3 had upgraded caps over the previous model. I thought the 2 sounded better with ECC88 Tele's and the 3 with the E88CC. Both ...
Is There Just One Single Album That Does It For You, Completely? Just One. Some familiar pop, easy on the ears, nap to, wake up to, go crazy and dance to on an outdoor concert system. The Concert at Central Park - Simon and Garfunkel.
Do people tire of audio forums? The Siren call of convenience and limitless availability has converted many a vinyl junkie, myself included, but “Let’s talk about digital” doesn’t stir my soul the way tubes and vinyl did. And that’s 90% of the posts these days.
Solved my streaming grunge (inner detail) problem I tried a Powerline and found digital riding on my Herron phono pre out (O-scope) in mm mode. I didn’t try mc mode. My Luxman phono pre made chugging noises through the speakers mc mode. I went mesh. None of that, no drop outs and very good sp...
Rumors of CD Demise Exagerated? New Hegel I see new formats erasing the old having one thing in common, convenience. The cd had remote control and track skipping. It was also novel with clean playback and tight bass for the masses. Streaming has unlimited access to new sound/songs, ra...
Hearing aids No regrets here. Mine have app control so the amount of tip up in frequency response can be changed by slider or semi permanently by AI interface. Musically I find them mostly a positive. It depends on the source, music and volume. They’re Bluetoo...
Warm sounding 6922 Type Tubes My Tubadour 4 took 10 months to settle in. That corresponds to advice I received about the output transformers. They're apparently quite good once they're broken in which takes forever, at least 500 hours I'm told. I got mine the end of October... |
