Best Powercord for a TV?
I put a 15 gauge furutech power cord on my lcd tv - when my wife saw it she asked, and I quote "what did you do to the tv"When I told her about the power cord she said she thought I'd been messing with the colour and contrast - more vivid colour a...
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Silver cable is also directional - A friend just told me his left channel cable got reversed in a recent move and he noticed something didn't sound quite right - restoring it to the correct direction restored the sound to it's previous quality And...

Goodbye Sonos, hello ????
Confirmed - cat7 network cables didn't improve playback on my setup... NAS ->cat7 -> router ->cat7 -> iMac + Audirvana -> USB -> DAC But access to the NAS drive has improved a little - better cables fewer resent packets probablyB...

Romex Power Cord - 8 feet longSince there are a few post in Agon that mention this I thought I'd give it a try.Had some 12 gauge cable lying around - the 4 conductor stuff used for two-way light switching.Stripped off the sheathing and removed the...
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Geoff - My thinking is - higher conductivity is a result of lower resistance - which I think would result in a lower rectification effect - but that's just my thinking - I might be wrong.I can see where you are coming from though - you might be ri...
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Thanks Geoff - I guess I'm wondering if the better conductivity of silver reduces the effect of this phenomenon to a point where it's undetectable.Regards...
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Question WRT directionality in silver cables...Has anyone witnessed the same directional issues in silver cables?Does it pertain to copper cables only?Is the effect more, or less obvious with silver cables? Thanks
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Ok - after giving this some thought here's what I believe might be happening...Since all wire is directional and as such, has a slight rectification effect...- In one direction that effect is operating on the bottom side of the AC that is being in...
Cable/Fuse Direction Matters?
Rodman99999 - ok, so if there is diode effect - it would effect one half of the signal when connected one way and the other half of the signal when connected the other way.So would the impact be... When the cables are connected - if the left cable...

Streetdaddy - since you are running a Mac mini - take a look at Audirvana- the best player/streamer I've use to date - you can download a free trial version from their web siteIt can operate as a standalone player or integrates with iTunes, which ...
Goodbye Sonos, hello ????
Knghifi - agreed - the cable between the iMac and the DAC will make a difference - In my case that is a USB cableAudirvana is a program that runs on my computer (the client) and buffers a complete track into computer memory prior to passing that d...
