Tube amp for Zu Omen I'd be shocked if the SE84UFO didn't get it done for you. Did you see this review? https://parttimeaudiophile.com/2017/07/29/mini-review-zu-audio-dirty-weekend-omen-version-ii/
Power cables and sharp dimensional imaging on a budget, Zu Audio and Furutech or Oyaide Richard, after reading about your system, my advice would be to not go out and spend a bunch of money on cables. I mean no offense by this, and your system may sound fantastic, but it doesn’t appear to be the type of amp/speakers that are going to...
Zu Soul Supreme Recap -- Owners, what are your preferred system pairings with them? I'll chime in, as I own Superflys. I was using FirstWatt amps for a few years (F3/M2), but I'm using a vintage Sansui AU-666 now. I'm doing a very un-audiophile thing... I bumped up the floor gap on the Superflys to about an inch and I leave the...
Decware and Zu. A pairing made in heaven Awesome sauce! Congrats, bet it sounds great.
Zu Audio Omen MKII Hi brimel,I don't own Omens but I own 2 other pair of Zu speakers (Superfly and DefHead). I can't answer your question directly, but I have upgraded the drivers on my Superflys, so I can offer some perspective. The new drivers on Omen mkII shoul...
morrow ma1 interconnect If you don't believe in system synergy, then you must not have heard a component before that sounded crappy in one system and fantastic in another.
Zu Omen Def Mk.2 - Updated Review Glad you are happy with the Omen Defs. Tell me more about the MP-301 tube amp... how do you like it? I've been reading about it and it sounds like it would be a great match with Zu speaks.
Is the Zu Audio Omen Mk1b upgrade worth it? I was able to hear a difference when I upgraded the drivers on my Superflys. It's small but noticeable. Just a little bit more "expressive" is the word I would use to describe it. It's super easy to do.
First Watt M2 versus F3 I'm a few years late to the party, but as I currently own both the M2 and F3 I wanted to record my thoughts for posterity. Hooked up to Zu Defhead speakers with a Manley Shrimp preamp, I favored the M2. The difference between the two amps was no...
The $3,600 gamble As a Superfly and Defhead owner, I'm guessing your gamble will pay off. You're getting a pretty serious upgrade over the Omen bookshelfs... a second driver, Event wiring, more bass... plus the ability to swap in some Radian tweeters down the road...
Best Preamp - NO preamp... (?) I do this on my analog rig... I ran my PS Audio GCPH and now my Manley Steelhead directly to my amp, as they both have volume controls. Sounds great, wouldn't have it any other way. I also tried using a preamp to confirm what I was hearing and c...
Which Zu for you Beautiful looking pair of honey walnut Superflys just went up on Zu's preloved site... that's a really good deal.
Which Zu for you Leotis, the twin driver models are 8 ohm. Omen I believe is 12 ohm.>Whoopycat does the defhead also give the emotional connection that the single driver provides?<Yes and no... IMO the Defhead does dynamic peaks better and really puts you i...
Which Zu for you I have Superfly and I have the Defheads (sealed top half of Definition). I haven't heard Omen Def, but my Defheads are kinda like the Omen Def with a sealed cabinet and better cabinet build plus the Radian tweeter. Let me tell you that Radian tw...
