Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions? Have any Pulsar owners compared them to Harbeths? I ask because I'm currently using a pair of 30.1
Science that explains why we hear differences in cables? @theaudiotweak Thanks for the video link. I am only part-way through, but consider it to be very insightful, and particularly useful for those of us who do not have engineering backgrounds.

Transports: Simaudio, Pro-ject, Jays I have a 260D, and am very happy with it. But, according to the manual, no SACD, and it implies that it won't recognize them.
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions? Thanks for additional input.
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions? @motokokusanagiYour take is too rigid. @mofojo Thanks. That would also be my take, and while those who have heard both are likely to prefer the newer version, I'd be interested to hear why.
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions? Hmm, just looked up the list price - for $10k...I dunno, I think the only reason to spend that much on 2-way bookshelves is if you can only accommodate small speakersBut the originals are available for far less used, hence my question.

Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… @hchilcoat Thank you.I won’t be of much help regarding comparisons to the Linear integrated amplifiers, though they do look interesting. In some of the reviews I see an emphasis on tonal accuracy, and that is something that does stand out to me ab...
Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… Thanks @grannyring I am using an older Shunyata design, the Black Mamba CX-HC. I admittedly haven't done much comparing, but it was, and remains highly regarded, and they don't even appear on the secondary market very often. I had to wait months t...
Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… Hi Chris,Welcome to the small, but apparently growing CL A200 fan club! I literally received mine on Sunday evening (wild, eh?), and wasn't planning on making any public commentsso quickly. However, I can say this: while the designer claims that t...
The smoothest amp you've heard? Until very recently, I have only owned SS amps, and found Accuphase to be "smooth". Whether they lean too much in that direction or not is, I imagine, a matter of personal taste and system synergy (or lack thereof).
Best Integrated that you've heard under $5k I have a soft spot for good integrated amps, and, while the list is short compared to many audiophiles, I have enjoyed a few good ones over the years. The list includes:PASS Aleph (many years ago)Bryston 4B (ditto)Jeff Rowland Concentra I (loved it...
Why are there no tube televisions anymore? I owned one of Sony's best CRT models, toward the end of that era, and the picture was outstanding.I defer to the experts in terms of the objective superiority of today's technology, but I sure didn't feel like I was missing anything at the time, ... |
